Colapinto makes a huge step towards his F1 dream this weekend. The Argentinian FIA F2 driver will take part in the opening Formula 1 Free Practice session at Silverstone, taking the wheel of Williams Racing’s FW46.

Williams Academy driver Franco Colapinto claimed his maiden win in F2, the second tier of the single-seater pyramid. Colapinto returned to Imola for the first time after 2022 where he scored his maiden win in FIA Formula 3. The final timed session that took place this afternoon in Hockenheim has seen the checkered flag waving over the Pre-Season Collective Test 2024 of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine fired up its engines this morning at Hockenheim, the circuit hosting the last Pre Season Collective Test of the year. On the German track, 33 cars took to the wet and variable weather conditions, with rain falling until just before the session began, leaving the track wet in places and causing some drivers to go off track, leading to a series of red flags.

Swiss driver Dario Cabanelas Altukhov has joined MP Motorsport as the team’s fifth and final signing for its burgeoning 2024 Eurocup-3 programme. It will be the 17-year-old’s first full year in the series as he aims to build on his experience gained in the final three rounds of the 2023 season.

For the second FIA Formula 2 round, the Dutch team MP Motorsport travelled to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The previous weekend in Bahrain was decent for the team, but it could be better.
