All set for the grand finale of the WSK Super Master Series

The Leopard Circuit Viterbo is ready to host the fifth and closing round of the WSK Super Master Series, next Sunday, March 16th with the Finals that will award the titles in all categories.

Everything is ready for the grand finale of the WSK Super Master Series at the renewed Leopard Circuit Viterbo. The fifth round of the championship will stage the battles for the titles in the MINI, OK-NJ, OKJ, OK and KZ2 categories from Friday to Sunday, March 16th. This edition of the championship will certainly be remembered as one of the most hard-fought in international karting, in the five rounds in rapid succession at the start of the season that have had the merit of proposing a beautiful technical and sporting confrontation between all manufacturers, the most qualified teams and the most competitive drivers worldwide.

An amazing season start.

Coming precisely in the 20th year of activity of WSK Promotion, the opening of the season of this WSK Super Master Series with the events of La Conca, Sarno, Lonato and Franciacorta has seen a resounding success for quantity and quality of competitors, up to the double historical record of 401 drivers present in Lonato and 405 in Franciacorta, with drivers from as many as 56 nations.

WSK returns to Viterbo, where back in 2011 Leclerc set pole position.

The participation in this fifth and final event that inaugurates the renewed Leopard Circuit Viterbo of 1300 meters is rather good. In the past, the WSK circus had already been on the Viterbo circuit, in 2011, always for a round of the WSK Super Master Series. In that year a young Charles Leclerc achieved pole position in the KF3 category with the Intrepid team. Among the winners of the WSK Super Master Series titles of 2011 to be remembered are those claimed by Antonio Fuoco in KF3, Antonio Giovinazzi in KF2 and Paolo De Conto in KZ1.

The drivers with the best chances to clinch the category titles.

Math still keeps every possibility open for final success and there are several candidates for the title in each category. Some boast greater chances for the good margin acquired in the standings, as in the MINI U10 with the American Josh Bergman (Kidix/KR), in the MINI Gr.3 with the Portuguese Xavier Lazaro (DR/DR), in the OKJ with the Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn (Prema Racing/KR) and in the KZ2 with the other Dutchman Senna Van Walstijn (CPB Sport/Sodikart).

Some are almost neck and neck.

In the OK-NJ category, the drivers finding themselves with truly minimal gaps are the American Lucas Palacio (KR Motorsport/KR) and the Italians Michele Orlando (DR/DR) and Gioele Girardello (Modena Kart/Parolin). In the OK the Belgian Dries Van Langendonck (Prema Racing/KR) and the Spaniard Christian Costoya (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin) are separated by just one point.
