Gunskirchen – Starting in January 2018, BRP-Rotax, the manufacturer of Rotax kart engines located in Austria, assigns the distribution of Rotax kart products in the Chinese market to Eric Motorsport Supply, located in Kunshan, Jiangsu province in China. Eric Motorsport Supply will be responsible for the further development of the sales and service network for Rotax kart products in China, Taiwan, Hongkong and Macao. BRP-Rotax will provide Eric Motorsport Supply with the necessary support to further develop the growth of the network of kart sport in the Chinese market.

By supporting various promotion events with Rotax MAX engines, the image of Rotax kart products has been well established on the Chinese market. To further increase the Rotax karting business in the Chinese market Eric Motorsport Supply will launch a new race format called ‘Chinese Cup’. The Chinese Cup will consist of twelve races – 3 circuits with 3 races on each in China, 3 races in Taiwan – and one final race in Taiwan, Taichung City.
Out of this new racing format there will be awarded four tickets to the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals 2018 taking place in Brazil in following categories: Rotax 125 Junior MAX, Rotax 125 MAX, Rotax 125 MAX DD2 and Rotax 125 MAX DD2 Masters.
