BRP-Rotax is pleased to announce that Amprex Racing Services, distributor of Rotax kart engines in Malaysia and promoter of Rotax MAX Challenge Malaysia, is hosting a new International RMC event: the inaugural Rotax MAX Challenge Asia Festival 2022 (RMCAF).
The RMCAF will take place from December 09-11, 2022 at the MORAC Adventure Park in Langkawi, Malaysia. A track which is well known by the Rotax Community since it hosted the second RMC Grand Finals in 2001 and another one in 2005. The 1.243 meter long homologated track consists of 21 corners which makes it quite challenging and it is known as one of the best go kart tracks in South East Asia.
Amprex Racing Services will be the proud promoter and organiser of the RMCAF, as they aspire to reignite the glorious reputation of this unique competition held in Langkawi in the past, into annually the most prestigious international karting event in the South East Asia (SEA) region.
RMCAF 2022 is aiming to attract many race teams and drivers from the SEA region and from the Oceania Pacific region, East Asia, the Middle East and European regions, with one sole purpose in mind; to be crowned as the champion of their respective categories and to secure the coveted tickets to the 2023 RMCGF.
„It is a pleasure to have the RMC Asia Festival on our race calendar which is a great opportunity for the drivers of the South East Asia region to compete in an international race event without long travelling distance“, says Peter Oelsinger, General Manager BRP-Rotax / Member of the Management Board, VP Sales, Marketing, RPS-Business & Communications. „The RMCAF is based on our single brand formula with scrutineered and sealed Rotax kart engines and MOJO racing tires that ensures the parity of the participants. Only the driving skills of the racers make the difference for the victory."
In January 2022 BRP-Rotax started the cooperation with Amprex Racing Systems as promoter of the RMC Malaysia and we are glad that Orawat Tantivejkul, the face of Moment Media (Thailand) and RMC Thailand will be collaborating together with Amprex Racing Services in promoting and supporting RMCAF 2022. Furthermore, Kevin Lai, Regional Coordinator of EIKO Motorsport (Japan) will be monitoring and providing consultancy support to both the South East Asia Rotax distributors. Ultimately this collaboration ensures that strong, professional synergies can be leveraged to execute a successful RMCAF 2022 event.
