The international events continue week after week, and the trophies pile up on the shelves of the drivers and teams using KR Global Motorsport Company equipment. After successes in IAME and Rotax in the previous days, the WSK Super Master Series ended in Cremona with no less than 13 podiums in the Finals and in the general classification.
Double in OK with Strauven and Sambudla
From the Timed Practice to the Final, including all the Heats and Super Heats, Thomas Strauven won everything in Cremona at the wheel of his KR-IAME! The Belgian, who had been waiting for a while for this, took advantage of the opportunity to finish runner-up in the WSK Super Master Series. Winner of the other Super Heat and 2nd in the Final with the fastest lap in the race, South African Luviwe Sambudla ensured a sensational double for the KR Motorsport team, which allowed other drivers to shine, such as the Australian Xavier Avramides or the Belgian Lenn Nijs. Good performances also from the Prema Motorsport team led by the Thai driver Enzo Tarnvanichkul and China’s Yuanpu Cui, without forgetting the 5th place for Kirill Kutskov in the Alonso Kart colours from the DPK Racing team.
Triple win and title with Antonov for KR in OK-Junior
Thibaut Ramaekers (VDK Racing), winner of the FIA Karting European Championship in Valencia, is clearly the Junior in form at the moment. The Belgian won the Final ahead of two other KR-IAME karts, those of Stepan Antonov and David Cosma-Cristofor, who fought to the very end to secure the podium with three corners to spare! Antonov, who had already won the Super Heat, took the WSK Super Master Series with a big lead. It is a pity that Antonov will not be able to participate in the second round of the European Championship in the Czech Republic because of his nationality. And as it is not possible to drop scores this year in FIA Karting, his chances to get a good result are strongly compromised. KR also congratulates Taym Saleh (Sauber Academy) and Niklas Schaufler (DPK Racing) on their 6th and 7th place finishes, as well as Italian Iacopo Martinese's return to 11th place from 37th after Timed Practice. And speaking of the name Martinese, Enrico managed to climb from 21st to 11th place in the KZ2 Final.
Several podiums in Mini 60
Only two weeks after the victory from the Spaniard Bosco Arias Chavarri (Team Driver Kart) and the 3rd place of the Romanian Bogdan Cosma-Cristofor in Castelletto in the WSK Open Series, the KR chassis has won another title in the category for very young drivers, as the Ukrainian Legenkyi did a double in Cremona by winning the U10 Final and brilliantly taking the crown in the WSK Super Master Series.
Four KR chassis in the top five in X30 Mini in Belgium
As well as performing well with the Vega tyres of the OK-Junior, the Mini 60 or the KZ2, or with the LeCont of the OK, the KR chassis can also win on the Komets of the X30 Mini. Congratulations to the drivers and teams that allowed the Italian brand to finish 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th in the Final in Mariembourg, during the second round of the IAME Euro Series organised from 21st to 23rd April.
Kart Republic wins in Rotax DD2!
While the performance of the KR chassis for the Direct Drive and Gearbox categories is no longer in question, the opening of the Rotax Max Challenge Euro Trophy in the middle of April enabled the model specially designed for Rotax DD2 to be put forward. In Genk the Dutch drivers Martijn van Leeuwen (Schepers Racing) and Enzo Bol (SP Motorsport) scored a superb double for the KR brand!
Turney plays cowboy in Texas
Joe Turney continues to represent the KR Global Motorsport Company in the United States. After his victories in Florida, this time he won in the X30 Senior class at the USPKS Texas Grand Prix near Houston.
