Concord, NC – With a very busy Road Racing Calendar and events so close to each other throughout the year, racers have expressed their concerns that some events are simply not feasible to attend. Responding to these comments, WKA has realigned its 2025 National Road Racing Schedule and announced its 2026 National Road Racing Schedule.
First, WKA has rescheduled its event at Nashville Superspeedway, shifting the original date from March 29-30 to November 7-9. This rescheduled event will now serve as Event 1 for the 2026 season.
“Planning events early in the year has always been difficult, as many racing series--both road racing and sprint racing--are beginning their seasons. The original March date for Nashville also created conflicts for some drivers who participate in both forms of racing,” WKA President Kevin Williams explained. “Many racers wanted to be part of the Nashville event, but with the busy start to the year, the schedule just wasn’t aligning. Moving the event seemed like the best solution.”
With the new November 7-9, 2025, dates, Nashville will now officially kick off the 2026 season, featuring a four-event national series. Event 2 of 4 will take place at Daytona on December 28-30, while the two Roebling Road events--scheduled for March and October 2026--will make up Events 3 and 4, respectively. This updated structure allows for a one-day drop (not event drop), boosting the competitiveness of the points chase and ensuring a smooth year-end awards presentation for the 2026 champions at Daytona.
“Change is never easy, but we believe this will maximize the event’s potential and make WKA the first organization to announce its 2026 plans,” said Williams. “It also helps balance the remainder of the 2025 season, which is overloaded with racing, making it a three-event series. Daytona served as Event 1, while the two Roebling events--one taking place this weekend--will make up Event 2, with Event 3 at Roebling on October 18-19. This still represents a three-event series and allows us to present the 2025 championship awards at Daytona as well.”
WKA will be reaching out to send the 2024 awards to the deserving champions in the coming weeks. With the new schedule in place, it feels fitting to distribute the year-end awards at Daytona for the 2025 and 2026 seasons respectfully.
Drivers who cannot attend the rescheduled Nashville event on November 7-9 and wish to receive a refund can do so by emailing mike@worldkarting.com by March 5. Drivers transferring their entry to the new dates need to take no action, as WKA will automatically provide their driver’s band “Free of Charge.”
Stay tuned for more updates and incentives for Nashville and the 2026 season. Until then, we hope everyone enjoys a safe and fun event at Roebling this weekend!
