Trident completed its 2024 lineup for the 2024 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine with the addition of Chinese racer Ruiqi Liu. Having made his debut in the final rounds of the 2022 Italian Formula 4 Championship, Liu entered the Italian series again and also raced in the new Euro4 Championship, which uses F4 cars as well. Qui Liu had a strong progression and eventually claimed a promising seventh place in the series finale.

Ruiqi Liu, Driver: “It’s a real pleasure for me to join Trident for season 2024. During winter testing, I had the chance to meet every team member and all of them have been very nice and friendly to me. I saw how everybody works, and I can tell that they put in a lot of effort. I’m really looking forward to 2024 to race with this team and try to achieve the results I want”.

Considering his limited single-seater experience, there is obviously room for improvement in some areas, but we are confident that the qualities we saw in Ruiqi are an excellent foundation on which we can work together to achieve our common goals.”
