Massimo Dante and Maranello Kart celebrated the victory at the 5th Summer Trophy in KZ2, as they claimed the third win of this Trophy held in Lonato. Ceresoli also secured a good result and Gabro Bizzozero was 12th in Shifter Rok.
The 5th Summer Trophy saw again Maranello Kart’s colors on top in KZ2 with Massimo Dante that turned out to be the real dominator of the event held at South Garda Karting. He put in a race pace that was not matchable by his rivals.
Dante has been successful since qualifying on Maranello-Tm and completed his quickest lap in 49.953s, before claiming the victory of Prefinal and Final. In the latter, the Italian driver took an early lead and kept it authoritatively all the way to the chequered flag. This was the third victory for Massimo Dante and Maranello Kart at the Summer Trophy, after the wins secured back in 2015 and 2017.
Regarding the other Maranello drivers, Andrea Ceresoli was eighth in KZ2 at the end of a recovery race started from the 16th spot on the starting grid, while Marco Vannini was forced to retire a few laps before the end of the race. Luigi Del Vecchio did not finish either, as he was involved in an incident in the Final on lap two, after a promising P13 in Prefinal.
Gabro Bizzozero has been competing in Shifter Rok on Maranello-Vortex and ended the Final in P12, after being ninth in Prefinal. The Austrian drivers of 60 Mini Lukas Zbul and Tim Miedl managed to qualify for the Final, closing their efforts respectively in P26 and P30.
