Monza - The Italian F.4 Championship arrives at Monza, after the Belgian round, with British driver Arvid Lindblad from Prema Racing leading the driver's standings. Lindblad, a young talent backed by Red Bull, has claimed the top spot with 3 wins and 4 podiums, accumulating a total score of 146.5. The closest pursuer is his teammate, American driver Ugo Ugochukwu, who is part of the McLaren junior driver program. Ugochukwu enters the challenge at Autodromo Nazionale Monza with the confidence of a recent victory in the last race at Spa. There is a gap of 25.5 points between the two, with three races to be contested during the weekend. Zachary David from US Racing, thank for his overall consistency in the first part of the year, sits in third place in the standings, trailed closely by James Wharton. The Australian driver from Prema Racing, member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, is behind by just half a point. Wharton, in his second year in the series, has been steadily improving throughout the Championship, culminating in two wins and a podium in the last round at Spa-Francorchamps. Another notable contender for the fourth round of the championship is Brando Badoer, Italian driver from Van Amersfoort Racing, currently ranked fifth in the driver's standings. The battles and intense duels on the Monza circuit are sure to provide excitement in a series that has showcased high-level racing across Italian and European circuits, featuring over 30 drivers from 22 different countries.
The weekend's program begins with an early start, as a long collective test session allows the drivers to familiarize themselves with the track on Thursday. A single 4-hour session will provide the first contact with the circuit starting at 14:00, setting the stage for the upcoming weekend. On Friday, after two 40-minute free practice sessions at 8:30 and 12:15, the official qualifying sessions will take place in the evening. Qualifying 1 will be the first Autodromo Nazionale Monza great challenge, from 16:45 to 17:00, followed by the subsequent session on track from 17:10 to 17:25.
Saturday, June 24, will feature the first race of the weekend, a 30-minute + 1 lap event, starting at 13:20. The remaining two races will take place on Sunday, June 25, with Race 2 opening the Sunday program of the ACI Racing Weekend Monza at 8:40 (30 minutes + 1 lap), followed by the final race at 14:20 (30 minutes + 1 lap).
All three races of the weekend will be broadcast live with English commentary on the Italian F.4 Championship's YouTube and Facebook pages, as well as on Motorsport TV (https://eu.motorsport.tv/).
