The grand finale of the season with the double round of the WSK Final Cup: around 280 drivers expected in Lonato

The WSK Final Cup is gearing up to end the season with another strong participation in the two rounds to be held on November 19th in Lonato and November 26th in Franciacorta.

A thrilling end of the season is on the horizon with the final double appointment of the WSK Final Cup scheduled for November 19th in Lonato and November 26th in Franciacorta. The first round at South Garda Karting in Lonato is expected to feature around 280 drivers across the MINI, OKJ, OK, KZ2, X30 Junior, and X30 Senior categories, and an equally impressive number of participants is also anticipated for the second round at the Franciacorta Karting Track, where the categories will include MINI, OKJ, OK, KZ2, OK-N, and OK-N Junior.

 

WSK Promotion heading to the end of its 18th season.

This year, the WSK Final Cup is once again set up with all the ingredients for a fantastic finale, ready to celebrate another season, the 18th one, of WSK Promotion's championship events after the great successes achieved in the events already held, from the WSK Champions Cup at the beginning of the season to the WSK Super Master Series, WSK Super Cup by MINI, WSK Euro Series and WSK Open Series.

 

The hall of fame of the WSK Final Cup is ready to welcome new names.

The hall of fame of the WSK Final Cup is ready to be enriched with the names of other karting champions for this event. The trophy reached its 12th edition, as it was inaugurated in 2011 with the victories of Lorenzo Travisanutto (MINI), Nicklas Nielsen (KF3), Dennis Olsen (KF2) and Bas Lammers (KZ2). Many champions have succeeded in the 11 editions held so far, including young talents like the Dutch racer Maya Weug, who won in the MINI category in 2016 and later transitioned with promising prospects to car racing. Andrea Kimi Antonelli also made it into OKJ in 2019, he then became an Italian promise and a champion in Formula 4 and the European Formula Regional. Last year, the WSK Final Cup saw victories by Iskender Zulfikari (MINI), Emanuele Olivieri (OKJ), Joe Turney (OK), and Senna Van Walstijn (KZ2).

 

The provisional program.

The provisional program in Lonato starts with the usual format, with free practices on November 15th and 16th, followed by official qualifying practice sessions and the first heats on November 17th. More heats will follow on November 18th and on November 19, the event will culminate in the prefinals and finals, which will be broadcast live.
