The first round of the WSK Open Cup 2021 kicks off in Lonato

A total of 260 drivers from 50 different countries gathered at the South Garda Karting in Lonato to contest the opener of the WSK Open Cup in MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2. The first on-track challenges will be on Friday in qualifying practice and heats. Prefinals and Finals with Live Streaming coverage will be on Sunday, September 19th.    

The first free practice sessions and scrutineering have kicked off the opening round of the WSK Open Cup 2021 that will be ran this weekend at the South Garda Karting Circuit in Lonato. A total of 260 drivers will contest this first event that resumes international karting for an exciting season’s finale by WSK Promotion. The drivers’ participation is big in the four categories MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2 with a representation of 50 different countries. The main constructors and teams will be present too.

Important figures in all categories, MINI excels with 103 drivers.

Drivers’ participation in MINI is quite important as 103 drivers from 35 countries of Europe and beyond gathered in Lonato. This confirms the very high level of the category reserved to the very young drivers that found in the WSK series the ideal ground for an international-level challenge. The higher class reserved to 12-13 years old drivers, OKJ, also features a good number of entered drivers: 75. A total of 48 drivers will compete in OK and 34 in KZ2.
