Free practice on Friday, November 1st, has officially kicked off the 48th edition of the Trofeo delle Industrie at the South Garda Karting. The race set an exceptional presence record this year as 253 drivers from 42 different countries made it to the track in Lonato.

Such an important presence renews the splendour of this historic karting race that is still healthy thanks to the indefatigable organization by Parma Motorsport and a location like the circuit in Lonato del Garda that grants all what it takes to be successful.

Since the debut year in Lonato back in 2012, after the golden age of the Trofeo delle Industrie that was born and bred at the circuit of Parma, the race has started an uprising trend in terms of participation going beyond level 200 in several occasions, but this is the first time that more than 250 drivers gather for this event. Icing on the cake is the great level of teams and drivers that are internationally recognized.

In Friday’s practice, the quickest were Fabian Federer (Maranello-TM, team SRP Racing Team) in KZ2, the Russian Kirill Smal (Tony Kart/Vortex, Team Ward Racing) in OK, who won Junior last year, Artem Severiukhin (Tony Kart/Vortex, Team Ward Racing) in OK-Junior, the Pole Jan Przyrowsky (Parolin/Tm, team A.V. Racing) in 60 Mini and Alessio Guazzaroni (Tony Kart/Iame, team Newman Motorsport) in Iame X30 Senior. These are only the first names that came to the fore though, as the big battle will start on Saturday, November 2nd, with qualifying practice and heats. Second chance races and Prefinals will take place on Sunday, November 3rd, in Live Streaming from local 11:30, while the finals of each category will start at 14:00.
