Race nine of this season’s Prototype Cup Germany, which took place at the Nürburgring, was dominated by Ralf (49/Salzburg) and David Schumacher (22/Salzburg, both US Racing). Six-time Grand Prix winner Ralf Schumacher took the lead at the start, before consistently extending his lead on a track that was still wet in places.

The “young wild ones” lived up to their name in the third and final ADAC Formula 4 race in Austria. In an eventful race with a host of overtaking manoeuvres, retirements and safety car phases, Luke Browning (US Racing) eventually benefitted from a penalty handed to Sebastian Montoya (Prema Powerteam) to claim his first victory in ADAC Formula 4. Montoya was first across the finish line, but ultimately had to settle for seventh place after receiving a time penalty for an early start.

The starters in the ADAC Formula 4 have completed some very intensive test days as they prepare for the upcoming season. The fastest driver during testing was Oliver Bearman (15, Great Britain, Van Amersfoort Racing), who finished top in two of the six sessions.

The newcomers of BWR Motorsport, led by former Team Rosberg engineer Erich Baumgärtner, are cooperating with former Formula 1 world champion Rosberg’s Racing Academy and have already announced two drivers for the ADAC F4. The new BWR team, which is cooperating with Nico Rosberg, has also confirmed two drivers already.
