Racing in the FIA Karting OK and OK-Junior categories for the first time in 2024, the VictoryLane team rounded off its season in style with victory for Rocco Coronel at Cremona in the final round of the WSK Final Cup. The latest success in the most competitive category in world karting confirms the direction taken by the team this season, its working methods and its decision to join forces with the Kart Republic and IAME brands.

The champions of the WSK Final Cup 2024 have been decided in Cremona: Orlando (OKNJ), Marchesi (OKN), Di Pietrantonio (MINI U10), Frasnelli (MINI Gr.3), Baglin (OKJ), Van Langendonck (OK) and Orlov (KZ2). 

With all the qualifying heats completed at the Cremona Circuit in San Martino del Lago, everything is set for the final phase of the WSK Final Cup to crown the champions in the MINI, OKNJ, OKN, OKJ, OK, and KZ2 categories, following the first round held in Lonato on November 10th.

After qualifying practice, the first heats of the weekend in Cremona provided the first direct on-track challenges. The heats will end on Saturday and the final stages will follow on Sunday.

The second and decisive round of the WSK Final Cup has begun at the Cremona Circuit. The event sees the MINI, OKNJ, OKN, OKJ, OK, and KZ2 categories on the track in a particularly interesting competition, not only for the end of the season but also as preparation for 2025.

The incredible 2024 World Championship held in Great Britain on the PFI circuit had two major highlights: firstly, the two Finals ended in unexpected last-lap upsets, and secondly, the KR-IAME teams put in a particularly impressive overall performance. Rocco Coronel was announced Wednesday by Red Bull as a new driver for its talent program. The 13-year-old karter and son of racing driver Tom Coronel have been admired on international karting tracks for years and also caught the eye of Red Bull. The KR chassis' stranglehold on the OK category continues in the highly competitive Champions of the Future Euro Series. After the season-opening one-two in Valencia, the Italian brand has now taken three consecutive one-twos in Val d'Argenton, Slovakia and Kristianstad.

The KR chassis and IAME engines dominated the third round of the FIA Karting European Championship in OK in the sunny conditions of the Slovak Karting Center. Thibaut Ramaekers triumphed in the colours of the VDK Racing team ahead of two KR Motorsport drivers, Noah Monteiro and Dmitry Matveev.

The weather has changed considerably since Friday at Orechová Potôň where the heat has given way to changeable conditions that have evolved during the day from rain to sunshine in temperatures of between 20 and 26° at the Slovakia Karting Center. Matheus Morgatto (BRA) took the lead in OK, Niklas Schaufler (AUT) and Dries Van Langendonck (BEL) finished level on points in OK-Junior and Gilles Herman (BEL) was the best performer in the Academy Trophy.

The KR-IAME teams continue their winning run in the Champions of the Future Euro Series with a third victory in three races in OK and a return to the lead in OK-Junior. By finishing 3rd behind Noah Baglin after some incredible comebacks, Niklas Schaufler regained the overall lead in the Juniors. In OK, KR chassis made it a hat-trick with Joe Turney, Thibaut Ramaekers, the new series leader, and David Cosma Cristofor. On the difficult Slovakia Ring, the Italian brand has certainly found the right way to optimise performance, from free practice to the finals.

Rising from the ashes in 2020, the Slovakia Ring provided the backdrop for Round 3 of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, which has now moved into the second half of the 2024 season. The uncertain weather conditions of the first day gave way to incessant duels and intense suspense, under the direction of promoter RGMMC, who managed the organisation of the meeting to perfection. Britain's Joe Turney in OK and Spain's Christian Costoya in OK-Junior emerged victorious from this difficult event, leaving the series wide open ahead of the last two rounds scheduled in Sweden and the UK.

In France, the KR Motorsport team emerged victorious from the second round of the European Championship, in both OK and OK-Junior. Making the right choices at the right time is one of the strengths of the Italian brand, which demonstrated its ability to adapt to all weather conditions.
