Colin Queen has been named as the winner of GB4’s National Formula Ford Shoot-Out, following the assessment day at Snetterton earlier this week.

The £20,000 prize GB4 shoot-out for the three leading teenage drivers in this year’s Avon Tyres National Formula Ford Championship will take place at Snetterton on Tuesday 18 October.

Fortec’s Nikolas Taylor extended his GB4 Championship lead with a supreme performance on the Brands Hatch GP circuit, with a win and a second place on Sunday. Jack Sherwood claimed his second victory of the season in race three, leading every lap despite starting fourth on the grid. Taylor’s results meanwhile mean he now has a 31-point championship lead over Max Marzorati, having been level on points at the start of the day following his retirement in race one.

Kevin Mills Racing’s Tom Mills claimed his first GB4 race win in a thrilling opening contest on the Brands Hatch GP circuit. Meanwhile, Nikolas Taylor and Max Marzorati are tied at the top of the standings, after Taylor slid out of contention midway through the race. 

Jarrod Waberski and Jack Sherwood were the Sunday winners at Snetterton in the GB4 Championship, as two dramatic races turned the championship battle on its head.

Fortec Motorsport’s Nikolas Taylor claimed a fourth win of the season in the first GB4 Championship race of the weekend at Donington Park, to steal the championship lead. Taylor won the race from pole position and resisted late pressure to take a four-point margin at the top of the standings heading into tomorrow’s two contests.

Elite Motorsport’s 18-year-old contender claimed a double pole position in qualifying this morning, and converted the first of his poles into a commanding victory, well clear of a battling Max Marzorati and Jarrod Waberski
