Following Qualifying Heats held in variable grip conditions, Spain's Pedro Hiltbrand Aguilar took the lead in the intermediate standings of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - KZ, Italy's Cristian Bertuca maintained his lead in the FIA Karting World Cup - KZ2 and France's Anthony Abbasse took the lead in the FIA Karting International Super Cup - Masters.

Danilo Albanese put up a tough fight in July in Spain to claim 2nd place with the fastest lap of the race in his high-performance KR-IAME. Motivated by the idea of retaining his FIA Karting European KZ Championship crown when he arrived at the Val Vibrata circuit for the finale of this highly-anticipated event, the Italian driver immediately demonstrated his competitiveness by taking pole position. Unfortunately, his title hopes were dashed at the first corner of the first heat! However, the team's overall result in Abruzzo means that KR Motorsport remains in contention for the team title in 2024.

Parolin Motorsport and its satellite teams won at the second round of the European Championship at Val Vibrata where Lorenzo Travisanutto came 2nd in the KZ Final to clinch the title in a thrilling finale, while Maksim Orlov, Team Modena Kart, dominated the KZ2 category from start to finish. Riccardo Nalon, Erre Esse Motorsport, won the Final and the KZ2 Masters title.

In the grand finale of the FIA Karting European Championship reserved for the shifter categories, their Tony Kart Racer 401 RR secured third place in the KZ category with Lorenzo Camplese.

Last weekend saw the second and final round of the European KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters Championship at Kartodromo Val Vibrata. Birel ART was the most represented chassis brand with almost a quarter of the field.

In Italy, the final of the FIA European Karting Championships in the KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters categories ended with a real plebiscite for Sodi chassis, the official team and the teams representing the French brand. Second in the KZ2 final ahead of team-mate Kasper Schormans, Matteo Spirgel is the new European KZ2 Champion. Senna Van Walstijn, who impressed throughout the weekend at the wheel of his Sodi-TM, finished runner-up in the European KZ Championship. A penalty cost Anthony Abbasse the title, runner-up in the European KZ2 Masters Championship. From 29 August to 1 September the Val Vibrata circuit in Italy will make its return to international karting by hosting the 2nd and final Round of the FIA European Championship - KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters. The 2024 Championship was divided into 2 races after the delays at the beginning of the season regarding the choice of tires and, therefore, after the opening race in Aragon, the Italian track will host the decisive round to elect this season's continental champions.
 

The second and final round of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship - KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters will take place in the heart of southern Italy, at the Kartodromo Val Vibrata, from 29th August to 1st September 2024.

Parolin Motorsport can be proud to have accompanied Christian Costoya's incredible determination to succeed at the fourth and final round of the FIA Karting European OK-Junior Championship at Kristianstad. After four heat wins and two fastest laps, the young Spaniard won Super Heat A in the dry and proved just as competitive in the rain of the Final. Leading from start to finish, he took a masterly victory with a lead of over 4" and the fastest lap. Thanks to these outstanding results, Costoya finished 2nd in the European Championship.
