Queensland teenager Max Walton recorded the best-ever finish by an Australian driver in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy with a third placed finish in Trinec, Czech Republic on the weekend.

The FIA Karting competition organised for the first time on the Steel Ring circuit in Trinec, Czech Republic gave rise to some exciting races in front of an audience that was enthralled by the quality of the show. Gabriel Gomez (ITA) in OK, Oleksandr Bondarev (UKR) in OK-Junior and Marius Barry-Berg (NOR) in Academy were the victors of the weekend.

A total of 233 drivers representing 59 nations are entered for Třinec International Steel Ring. The participants competing in the full FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior are complemented by 29 wild cards in a total 93 OK and 95 OK-Junior drivers. Facing a new circuit in a major international competition is always a dreaded moment for factories, teams, and drivers. From 3rd to 6th May, the KR brand set out to discover the Steel Ring circuit in Třinec, located in the Czech Republic, to participate in the second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series.

On the occasion of its second event, the FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior will head east to the Czech Republic for its second round and its first taste of the Třinec International Steel Ring. The FIA Karting Academy Trophy will also make its debut on this new circuit from May 19-21.

The weekend that just ended on the Třinec track in the Czech Republic was a very positive one: Gabriel Gomez dominated the scene in the OK category of the 2nd Round of the Champions of the Future, finishing the Final in P2.

On the new Trinec circuit in the Czech Republic, the Birel ART / TM Kart showed remarkable competitiveness in a variety of conditions. The second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series saw Matheus Morgatto’s return to form, who finished 9th in the OK Final, while Noah Wolfe of the Leclerc by Lennox Racing team put in a string of good performances in the OK-Junior class and finished 2nd in the Final.

For the first time, the OK and OK-Junior classes contested a major international event at the new Třinec circuit in the Czech Republic, at the second of five Champions of the Future Euro Series events. In partnership with RGMMC, the Czech Steel Ring Motorsport Pro Každého team welcomed a magnificent field of 168 drivers (95 in OK-Junior and 73 in OK) with dynamism and motivation. Two weeks before the FIA Karting European Championship event, Joe Turney and Oleksandr Bondarev have already made their mark on this difficult circuit by winning on a wet track, upsetting the hierarchy created the day before in the sun!

The international events continue week after week, and the trophies pile up on the shelves of the drivers and teams using KR Global Motorsport Company equipment. After successes in IAME and Rotax in the previous days, the WSK Super Master Series ended in Cremona with no less than 13 podiums in the Finals and in the general classification.

The European Rok challenge will see all the Rok categories at the start for a contest between the best European Rokkers. The European Challenge will be held over two days, July 17-18, on the beautiful Cheb Kartarena, a track located in the Czech Republic, a few kilometers from the border with Germany.
