Fourth is Mikhael Belov (G4 Racing – 1:31.949), who yesterday has brought the first points to his team, and is continuing to give strong support to G4 Racing in expressing their full potential. Fifth is Francesco Pizzi (Van Amersfoort Racing – 1:32.010), obtaining his best position in qualifying this year. Just behind the Italian driver is Oliver Goethe (MP Motorsport – 1:32.015).

Grégoire Saucy, again! The ART Grand Prix driver once more is absolutely unbeatable and leads Race 1 at Circuit Zandvoort from pole position t0 the checkered flag. Never is he in trouble, with a great start and an equally fantastic restart after the safety car. Behind him, his teammate Gabriele Minì, in an absolutely consistent race, being the only driver with a pace close to Saucy.

On a wet track, the first 50 minutes collective tests session on the Circuit Zandvoort is stopped quite a few times due to red flags. In this “start and stop” session, it is Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) to set the fastest lap time. The Argentinian driver stops the watch with a very good lap time of 1:39.588 in front of Dino Beganovic (Prema Powerteam – 1:39.894), Kas Haverkort (MP Motorsport – 1:40.234), David Vidales (Prema Motorsport – 1:40.424), Mikhael Belov (G4 Racing – 1:40.528) and Paul Aron (Prema Powerteam – 1:40.594).

ADAC Formula 4 goes into its seventh year in 2021. There will once again be a total of 21 races contested over seven events timed to coincide with the ADAC GT Masters weekends. On the technical side, the junior series has opted for continuity, with Formula 1 supplier Pirelli retained as exclusive tyre partner. ADAC Formula 4 will continue to offer talented youngsters from Germany and abroad a competitive platform for entering the world of formula racing in the coming year. The curtain-raiser to the seventh season of the series will get underway on the weekend of 14th - 16th May 2021 at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.

The 2020 ADAC Formula 4 season will open in parallel with the ADAC GT Masters on the weekend of 30th July - 1st August at the Lausitzring in Brandenburg. The total number of events will be seven, just as originally planned. ADAC Formula 4 will be part of the support programme on six of the scheduled ADAC GT Masters weekends, omitting only the Sachsenring and instead of sharing the billing with the ADAC TOTAL 24-hour race at the Nürburgring (24th - 27th September).
