The Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship has crowned Britain's Joe Turney in OK and Belgium's Dries Van Langendonck in Junior with their performances in Sweden confirming their talent. Belgium's Gilles Herman won the FIA Karting Academy Trophy with an excellent display of maturity, while Switzerland's Dan Allemann came back brilliantly to secure 2nd place.

The final day of the FIA Karting meeting at the Slovak Karting Center was bathed in sunshine without excessive heat and the races were even more intense in these excellent conditions. In a rare circumstance there were three winners from one country - Thibaut Ramaekers in OK, Dries Van Langendonck in Junior and Gilles Herman in Academy - all from Belgium.

The weather played an important role in the running of the FIA Karting Val d'Argenton Event. After the changeable and wet weather of the first two days, the sun shone on Sunday and all the races took place on a dry track. Joe Turney (GBR) continued his domination of the OK class to the Final, as did Iacopo Martinese in OK-Junior. Jakub Gasparovic (SVK) won the first 2024 Final of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy.

But that was nothing compared to the afternoon's Finals, which produced a breathtaking spectacle with many unexpected twists and turns.
