Championship leader Louis Sharp topped the times on the first day of GB3 testing at Zandvoort.

The Kiwi set his best time in the final session, and was just 0.080s clear of Elite’s Jarrod Waberski, who was fastest in the second and third sessions. Title challenger Tymek Kucharczyk was third ahead of Hitech Pulse-Eight teammate Gerrard Xie, with both recording their best laps in the second test. VRD Racing by Arden’s Nikita Johnson fired himself up the order with his final session time, putting him fifth overall on the combined timesheet, ahead of teammate Noah Ping.

Patrick Heuzenroeder’s session four effort put him seventh overall ahead of Elite’s McKenzy Cresswell, with JHR’s John Bennett and VRD Racing by Arden’s Shawn Rashid completing the top-10, which was covered by less than half a second.

Just 0.856s covered the lead 17 drivers, with two more test sessions to come tomorrow at the Dutch Grand Prix venue.
