The second and decisive round of the WSK Final Cup has begun at the Cremona Circuit. The event sees the MINI, OKNJ, OKN, OKJ, OK, and KZ2 categories on the track in a particularly interesting competition, not only for the end of the season but also as preparation for 2025.

Many drivers are also at the start in this final appointment in Cremona, with the presence of the major manufacturers and the most qualified international teams. There are 316 drivers on the track out of 350 registered, who also come from all over the world and represent 43 nations.

The start at the Cremona Circuit came from the qualifying practice on Friday morning, followed by the first qualifying heats. The program then continues on Saturday with the conclusion of the heats and the start of the OKNJ Prefinals. On Sunday, Prefinals and Finals will be broadcast live. 

Qualifying practice.

OK – Coronel surprises everyone.

The pole position in OK went to Rocco Coronel (#211 VictoryLane/KR-Iame-LeCont). The Dutch driver set a time of 47.164s in Session-2, narrowly beating the Austrian Niklas Schaufler (#244 DPK Racing/KR-Iame) who set the best time in Session-1 with 47.186s. Two Italians ended behind Coronel in Session-1: the winner of Lonato, Sebastiano Pavan (#237 Ward Racing/Tony Kart-TM Kart) at 0.213s and Iacopo Martinese (#224 KR Motorsport/KR-Iame) at 0.279s. In Session-1, just 0.024s behind Schaufler, the Scotsman Zac Drummond (#227 Fusion Motorsport/KR-Iame) proceeded the other protagonist of the category, the Belgian Dries Van Langendonck (#228 Forza Racing/Exprit-TM Kart), who ended 0.118s from the top.

KZ2 - Dmitry Matveev sets a great time.

In KZ2, Dmitry Matveev (#113 KR Motorsport/KR-Iame-LeCont) took the lead, setting the best time of the category in Session-1 with 46.470s, but Cristian Bertuca (#101 BirelART Racing/BirelART-TM Kart), third in the championship, also stood out with the best time in Session-2 with 46.553s. Among the fastest in Session-1, the other two protagonists of Lonato: the young Czech Marek Skrivan (#133 IPK Factory Team/IPK-TM Kart), who is the current championship leader, at 0.110s behind Matveev, and the winner of Lonato, the Estonian Markus Kajak (#121 Maranello SRP/Maranello-TM Kart) at 0.148 seconds. In Session-2, behind Bertuca, the other two best positions went to the Dutch Kasper Schormans (#109 CPB Sport/Sodikart-TM Kart) at 38 thousandths of a second, and the German Simon Rechenmacher (#131 TB Racing Team/KR-TM Kart) at 43 thousandths of a second.      

OKJ - Hoogendoorn is the fastest.

The Dutch driver Dean Hoogendoorn (#308 KR Motorsport/KR-Iame-Vega) topped the OK-Junior category with a time of 48.140s achieved in Session-2, while the Spaniard Bosco Arias (#347 DPK Racing/KR-Iame) bounced back from Lonato, setting the best time in 48.197s, with the winner of the first race, Filippo Sala (#334 Forza Racing/Exprit-TM Kart) second at 0.103 seconds and the Peruvian Mariano Lopez (#311 Fusion Motorsport/KR-Iame) third at 0.173 seconds. In Session-2, Sala's teammate, the Turkish Iskender Zulfikari, also put in a good performance and was second at 34 thousandths of a second behind Hoogendoorn, and the Dutch Luuk Taal (340 VictoryLane Karting/KR-Iame) at 0.107 seconds.  

MINI U10 - Papageorgiou ahead of Perico.

In the smallest category, MINI Gr.3 Under 10, Andreas Papageorgiou (#548 Monster K Factory/T-Group-TM Kart-Vega) took the best overall time in Session-2 with a time of 53.967s, while the always fast Niccolò Perico (#501 Energy Corse/Energy-TM Kart) confirmed himself as the leader in Session-1, but with a time higher than Papageorgiou, 54.002s. In Session-2, behind the Monster K Factory driver, Stepan Mazepin (#517 SM Racing/OTK-TM kart) ended at 0.100s and then surprisingly followed  the Turkish Gunfer Tuzuner (#581 BabyRace/Parolin-Iame). The winner of Lonato, the Estonian Mark Loomets (#503 Energy Corse/Energy-TM Kart), posted the sixth fastest time at 0.227 seconds. In Session-1, behind Perico, the Finnish Leo Laitinen (#566 Parolin Finland/Parolin-Iame) closed his effort at 0.025s and was followed by the French Jean Poujol (#528 Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex) at 0.115 seconds.

MINI GR.3 – Palacio dominates.

In the MINI Gr.3 category, the American Lucas Palacio (#623 KR Motorsport/KR-Iame-Vega) made the difference with the best overall time in Session-1 (53.416s), while in Session-2, the Italian Achille Rea (#538 CRG Racing Team/T-Group-TM Kart) confirmed himself with the best time but two tenths of a second higher, at 53.610s. The Portuguese Xavier Lazaro (#556 DR/DR-TM Kart) was also good in Session-1, just 4 thousandths of a second behind Palacio, with the French Stan Ratajski (#520 BabyRace/Parolin-Iame) at 0.289 seconds. The results of Session-2 were also very close, where the Spaniard Daniel Miron Lorente (#504 Team Driver/KR-Iame) was 0.016s  behind Rea and the Swede Carl Nellegard (#532 Ward Racing/Tony Kart-TM Kart) was 0.190s behind. The winner of Lonato, Julian Frasnelli (#521 BabyRace/Parolin-Iame), claimed the fourth fastest time at 0.211 seconds.

OKNJ - Truchot is the fastest.

In the two OK-N Junior practice sessions, the duel was fought by the recent protagonists from the MINI category. The fastest overall was the French Alessandro Truchot (#720 Modena Kart/Parolin-TM Kart-Vega) with a time of 48.583s achieved in Session-2, while the best time of Session-1 went to the Ukrainian Oleksandr Legenkyi (#713 Team Driver/KR-Iame) with 48.896 seconds. With Truchot in Session-2, the Belgian Henri Kumpen (#717 Moni/Tony Kart-Vortex) also continued to excel as he ended second at 0.091s, and the winner of Lonato, the Italian Michele Orlando (#703 DR/DR-Modena Engines), third at 0.116 seconds. In Session-1, behind Legenkyi, the English Will Green (#702 KR Motorsport/KR-Iame) closed his best effort at just 0.002s and the French Teo Policand (#738 VictoryLane/KR-Iame) at 0.070.    

OKN - Apicella takes the pole by 0.020.

The gaps were quite small in the OK-N category, with Antonio Apicella (#823 GSR Team/LN-Iame-Vega) setting the fastest lap in 49.193s. The Italian driver, second in the standings, was 20 thousandths of a second ahead of the surprising Mike Parhiala (#840 Kohtala Sports/Gillard-Vortex) and 58 thousandths ahead of Andrea Giudice (#842 Marra61/Tony Kart-Vortex). Fourth place went to Giulio Mazzolini (#837 M2 Racing/Gillard-TM Kart) at 0.146 seconds, followed by some of the main protagonists of the previous round at Lonato: the Polish Juliusz Ociepa (#810 Novalux/Lenzokart-LKE) at 0.175 seconds, the championship leader Nicolas Marchesi (#816 Team Driver/KR-Iame) at 0.185 seconds, and the third in the championship Cristian Tonalini (#836 Tona Racing/Tony Kart-TM Kart) at 0.270 seconds.
