Regional EU by Alpine: Paul Ricard, Race 1: Saucy, David, Belov and Minì

Great performances by the drivers, but no changes in the first positions in Race 1 of the Formula Regional EU by Alpine at Paul Ricard where, from pole, Grègoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix) makes a great start, and Hadrien David (R-ace GP) cannot really try anything to overtake, from the second position, the leader and final winner of the race. Behind them, Mikhael Belov (JD Motorsport), quickly confident with the new car, and Gabriele Minì (ART Grand Prix), finally fourth and excellent first of the Rookies.

Bad luck, due to a technical problem on the grid, for another Rookie, Isack Hadjar (R-ace GP), who has to start from the pit lane.

Saucy: “Really happy for the win. I like the track and all was perfect. We will continue to work and improve, but we are there where we want and my pace was really good along the entire race.”

David: “These are good points, but there was really nothing I could do from P2 to overtake Grègoire. We need to work on the car and for QP2, as we need to start at the front to win the race.”

Belov: “I am definitely pleased to be on the podium after 2 free practices and qualifying. Indeed I feel I can do even better tomorrow”.

Minì: “I am happy and the direction we have is the right one. Surely also being first of the Rookies is good, but most of all these are good points in a long and very challenging Championship.”
