KIC Motorsport signed Estonian Red Bull junior program driver Jüri Vips - All three KIC Motorsport drivers in excellent pace at test days in Imola

Formula Regional European Championship certified by FIA series is about to get underway in first weekend of August at Italian circuit of Misano. Finnish KIC Motorsport team, which is run by ex-GT-driver Petri Lappalainen, enters its second season with three highly talented and determinate drivers: Flying Finns Patrik Pasma, age of 20, Konsta Lappalainen, age of 18, and excellent challenge from team's new driver, Estonian Jüri Vips, age of 19, currently Red Bull junior program driver.

Currently teams and drivers are preparing themselves in tests which are driven in Italian soil. Season 2020 includes eight racing weekends and together with 24 starts it'll be thrilling competition for the title and highly valuable trophies.

"Formula Regional European Championship certified by FIA series has become an important step for young drivers towards their dreams of becoming Formula-1 driver. Winner of the series gets 25 points for FIA super licence and furthermore the winner will test a FIA Formula 3 Ferrari Driver Academy observers. KIC Motorsport wants to offer this possibility for its drivers", team manager Petri Lappalainen says.

"First test days have given us confirmation that we have a strong line-up for the series as our drivers Jüri Vips, Patrik Pasma and Konsta Lappalainen have been in strong pace at tests. The results has told us that we'll have a thrilling season in front of us and therefore we cannot wait that it'll get underway in next four weeks", Lappalainen continues.
