The ADAC Formula 4 Junior Team will kick off the second round of the FFSA Formula 4 Championship at Lédenon in France this weekend (10th to 12th May). Mathilda Paatz and Montego Maassen want to build on the good performances from the start of the season on the Easter weekend in the south of France. This means that the two drivers of the ADAC Formula 4 Junior Team will be supported by lubricant manufacturer Ravenol this season. The company from Werther in North Rhine-Westphalia is a long-standing supporter of young sports, and the Ravenol logos can be seen on the sidepods of the Formula 4 racers of Paatz and Maassen.
The new commitment rounds off Ravenol's comprehensive and long-standing partnership with ADAC. The lubricant experts support the DTM, the ADAC GT Masters, the ADAC GT4 Germany, the Prototype Cup Germany and the ADAC XC Cup, among others, but also support individual athletes such as ADAC Foundation sports promoter Tim Tramnitz or former Formula 1 driver Mick Schumacher.

The venue for the second race weekend of the FFSA Formula 4 Championship is the 3.151-kilometre Circuit de Lédenon. The race track was built in 1972 and offers a lot of variety for the drivers with its 15 corners and numerous fast passages. With a difference in altitude of almost 40 metres and gradients between 7 and 13%, the rollercoaster has its special charm.
Montego Maassen (16, Hofheim am Taunus) experienced an almost perfect start to the season. In Nogaro, he was one of the top drivers and immediately scored his first championship points by finishing eighth in Sunday's race. For Lédenon, the Hessian has set himself a clear goal again: "I want to build on the performances from Nogaro and fight for the podium places. That was already possible there, but I have to do a little better in the races."
Mathilda Paatz (15, Cologne) from Motorsport Team Germany also made her Formula 4 debut. The Rhinelander steadily improved in the changeable weather conditions and kept fit during the race-free period with an extensive sports program and appearances in the shifterkart. "In my opinion, Lédenon is one of the more difficult and exciting circuits on the calendar. It's literally like a roller coaster, which makes it very difficult and interesting. I will do my best and hope to gain more and more racing experience," Paatz looks ahead to the new challenge.
The two talents will again face three ranked races of 20 minutes each plus one lap in Lédenon. The first is qualifying on Friday. On Saturday, two races will take place (9:50 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.), with the last exchange of blows on Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m.
