PREMA Racing announces line-up for Valencia FIA F3 test

PREMA Racing announces the team's line-up for the upcoming collective FIA Formula 3 Championship test session, which will take place next week at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.

Arthur Leclerc will run on the first day, the 20-year-old Monegasque returning in the cockpit after a full FIA F3 season with the team. Estonian Paul Aron will be in the same car for Day 2 and Day 3. The 17-year-old driver will join the pack hours after completing the 2021 Formula Regional European Championship season.

He will be joined by Oliver Bearman and Jak Crawford. The 16-year-old Brit and the same-aged American will stay in the car for the complete duration of the test. Bearman will step up from F4 after clinching the Italian championship at Mugello and concluding the season at Monza, while Crawford is entering the test coming from his rookie FIA Formula 3 campaign.

Paul Aron: "I’m very thankful for the opportunity and to Prema for allowing me to do the test in Formula 3 with them. It will be great, especially after the race weekend at Monza, to move straight to Valencia and compare the two cars on the following day. There will be a lot of new things in F3, for example, DRS and much more power and downforce, but I expect it to be extremely fun to drive!” Oliver Bearman: “I'm really excited to join Prema for the FIA Formula 3 test! They had an incredible season with Dennis this year and have been super strong for so many years, so I feel very lucky to be able to make my first test in a FIA F3 car with them”. Jak Crawford: “I am happy to be testing in Valencia with Prema for the first time. The preparation for the event went well and I am looking forward to getting on track to work with the team.” Arthur Leclerc: "I'm delighted to take part in testing at Valencia as it is a good way to continue the good work we started this season. It will be the first time for me on this circuit, so it will also be an opportunity to learn a new track and understand more about how the car behaves on it."
