Paul Aron returns to Prema for 2021 Formula Regional by Alpine Championship

Estonian driver Paul Aron will be back racing with PREMA Powerteam for the 2021 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. The 17-year-old racer will make a welcome return after taking the Italian Formula 4 rookie title in his maiden year in single-seaters in 2019. Aron, the younger brother of former PREMA racer Ralf Aron, will line-up for his second season in Regional competition after delivering a podium finish in his first Formula Renault Eurocup campaign.

Before racing with PREMA in Formula 4, he had already established himself as a leading prospect in 2018, when he won the CIK-FIA European Karting Championship, the WSK Champions Cup, the South Garda Winter Cup and took third place in the WSK Super Master Series. His performance enabled him to become a Junior Driver for Mercedes-AMG Formula 1.

Angelo Rosin - Team Principal

"It's great to welcome Paul back with us. He impressed us in his debut season in car racing, and we are looking forward to seeing how he progressed and matured. We are sure he has outstanding potential and the fact that he already knows the car-engine package means that he will be an even more valuable asset."

“I can’t express how thankful I am for this opportunity. I’m super happy to be back with Prema for the 2021 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. The team is like a second family for me. We managed to do an amazing year together in Formula 4, and I am sure they are just the ingredient I need to make a successful year in 2021. Can’t wait for the season to start!”
