News 2025: Introducing the Racer 401 T and the Tony Kart product range

The iconic chassis of OTK Kart Group's main brand gets a makeover. Among the novelties - shared also with the models of the Junior and Senior classes, in the TDX - stands out the fairings, the sticker kit design and the braking systems. As for the MINI categories, the Rookie EVM and EVS carry on with important developments in terms of components.

Racer 401 T, TDX and Rookie: these are the names of the products in Tony Kart's “model year 2025” chassis range. Featuring the design and the evolution of all models is undoubtedly the synergy between OTK Kart Group's R&D department and the Tony Kart Racing Team. A historical cooperation that has allowed the Italian company to develop different technical solutions introduced with the new product range, always keeping firmly in line with the company “Designed, Engineered, Manufactured 100% made in OTK - Italy” philosophy, which involves the use of selected and quality-controlled materials, fabricated with machined processes that guarantees high production standards and accuracy of the products. All of this, of course, within the OTK Kart Group's Chassis Division factory in Prevalle.

Racer 401 T, a renewing icon
The flagship model remains the Racer which, in this new evolution, takes the name of 401 T. Since its debut, the Racer has been able, during its “sporting career,” to win more than 10 world championships and countless international title victories. Along with the body geometry (as usual, with 30 mm diameter tubes), maintained for both versions, Direct Drive classes and  Shifter categories. In terms of components, there are many technical innovations. Among them, the newly homologated braking systems, named BWD and BWZ. As always, an extensive development has been done to refine every detail of Tony Kart's flagship model, as evidenced by the introduction of the new chain tensioner, in aluminium, attached to the bearing support. The most evident new change, however, are definitely the innovative M11 fairings.

New graphics and M11 Fairings, for an eye-catching look
The endless work of OTK Kart Group's R&D department - made up of design, CFD computer simulations and numerous wind tunnel tests – as well as the Tony Kart Racing Team's relentless on-track testing activities have led to the development of a new nose panel and front fairing model. The two elements, named M11, are in line with the current FIA regulations and feature a unique design providing a substantial improvement in aerodynamic efficiency, resulting in better performances on track. However, the side bumpers and rear protection, part of the M10 kit introduced with the previous homologation, remain unchanged. The entire package is then enriched with stickers with a new more attractive design, but still faithful to the colors and style distinguishing the Tony Kart brand. Aesthetic change has also been extended to the new official Tony Kart suits, available for drivers of all categories, from MINI to KZ.

Revolutionary braking systems for all Junior and Senior categories
As already mentioned, along with the new Tony Kart product range, also the brand-new braking systems of the OTK Kart Parts line have been introduced, both for the single-gear and shifter classes of Junior and Senior size chassis: we are talking about the BWD models (for Direct Drive categories) and BWZ (for Shifter and DD2 categories), the latter including a totally renewed brake system. Also in this case, as for the M11 fairings, the great research and development work carried out by OTK Kart Group, has allowed to reach unprecedented technical changes in the karting field, growing the efficiency of all components, starting with the heat dissipation and control on the average brake oil temperature. For both the BWD and BWZ models, there is a dual option, as far as the rear disc is concerned, of 180 mm or 206 mm diameter, depending on the need.

TDX, novelties and confirmations
Flanking the Racer 401 T, we once more find the TDX model: the continuous research of materials by the OTK Kart Group's research and development department innovates in this new model. The body is completely assembled in 32 mm tubes, for both the single-speed and gear lever versions. The TDX inherits from the Racer 401 T all the technical innovations introduced: the BWD and BWZ braking systems, the M11 fairings, the new sticker kit design and official suit, as well as the aluminium chain tensioner, attached to the bearing support.

Advanced DD2
The DD2 Racer 401 T and TDX versions keep their body geometry unchanged but feature the main novelties introduced by their respective models: M11 fairings, BWZ braking system with 180 mm and 206 mm rear discs, as well as new sticker kit and official suit graphics. Introducing the innovative new exhaust support attachment, which is now removable and specifically designed for the engines of the category.

The MY 2025 Rookie "Makes itself into two"
Of the Rookie model, developed for the MINI classes, the EVS and EVM versions have been unchanged in the body geometry. However, there are many improvements for this model, designed by our R&D department. Among the most noteworthy, are the forged aluminium and multi-adjustable pedals (to allow all drivers of all sizes to achieve an optimal driving position), the optimized shaped fuel tank, and the integral floorplate. In addition, the Rookie models are now equipped with new BMT4 stub axles, combined with the 235 mm steering rods, new hubs, both front and rear, made of magnesium.

The Rookie model also sees two new components: the nose panel and the front fairing, named M9, which are strongly inspired by the M11 models intended for the higher categories. On the other hand, the side bumpers and the M8 rear protection, introduced with the previous homologation, remain unchanged. As for the braking system, the Rookie - in both versions - are equipped with the already well-known BSM5 model, updated, however, with a 149 mm floating disc and 4A brake pads, which optimize braking for the special needs of the MINI categories. Aesthetically, the sticker kit and the official suit are in line with the design introduced by the Racer 401 T.
