Monolite Racing will be fielding Enzo Scionti in the 2023 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. The team, led by Rudi Mariotto, has been competing in the European series promoted by ACI Sport and Alpine since its inception. For the upcoming series, they will line up the American on one of the team's three race cars.
Born in Houston, Texas, on the 22nd of April, 2005, Scionti made his single-seater debut in the winter of 2021 by entering the Formula 4 UAE Championship, where he achieved 11 points finishes out of 20 races including a top-5.
In the following months, he made the jump to Euroformula Open and increased his knowledge of some of the racetracks that he will be facing this year. In Euroformula, Scionti continued to show positive form, ending up in the top-10 in 12 races out of 24.
In 2022, he then took a sabbatical from competition and experienced an intense testing programme that enabled him to gain chemistry with the Tatuus-built car that he will use in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.
Rudi Mariotto, team manager: “I'm delighted to welcome Enzo to Monolite Racing. He will be a rookie in FRECA, but despite his young age, he showed great speed skills and matured a considerable experience in motorsport. I cannot wait to start working with him in preseason testing at Barcelona".
