Chris Dittmann Racing has confirmed that Max Marzorati will remain with the team for this year’s BRDC British F3 Championship.
The 20-year-old British driver joined the race-winning Tewkesbury-based squad for the final two rounds of the 2020 season at Donington Park and Silverstone, and made an immediate impression.
In all, the Harrow-based driver competed in four of the seven events of last year’s championship, and is expecting to compete in all 24 races this time around.
Marzorati has concurrently worked early morning shifts in a biscuit factory, as a painter and decorator, a local authority door-to-door survey operative and as a school holiday club assistant to help fund his 2021 budget.
He also continues to support Ben, the UK automotive industry charity, as their only motorsport ambassador, and hopes to draw more attention to the important work they do during 2021.
Before making the step up to British F3, Marzorati had been a successful karter, starting his career at the age of 13 and immediately winning a club title in his debut season at Rye House circuit in 2014.
He then moved up to the Rotax and X30 categories in subsequent seasons before making his car racing debut in the Renault UK Clio Cup Junior category in 2017. He made an immediate impression by winning on his car racing debut, and very nearly claimed the title after a further two victories.
A move to single-seaters followed, with two seasons in Formula Ford 1600 competition to learn mechanical grip, with highlights including victories, podiums and a fastest lap.
Marzorati, who also has an in-depth knowledge of the history of the sport and is passionate about the evolution of alternative fuels, is now gearing up for the 2021 season, and will commence pre-season testing in the coming weeks.
