Marijn Kremers winner of 2019 FEED Racing

Marijn Kremers is officially the laureate of the very first FEED Racing edition. The 21-year-old Dutchman won the final, after several months of competition.

Qualified for the final with five other candidates, the KZ karting world champion won all his duels in the various phases of the final, before facing Frenchman Etienne Cheli in a very last confrontation on track.

On a final series of 5 laps, Kremers averaged the top three laps at 1:49.394, with an absolute best time of 1:48.639. Etienne Cheli posted an average 1:50.505, for a better lap time of 1:50.100.

The six finalists competed on the Magny-Cours F1 track in changing track conditions. Soggy by the previous day’s showers, the tarmac gradually dried up, despite cold weather. The drivers had to stay on wet tyres before the two finalists could finally pass the slicks.

Behind Marijn Kremers and Etienne Cheli, Alex Giroud and Dorian Cazals took third and fourth places. Yvan Peklin, Ukrainian Karting champion, and Timothy Peisselon finished 5th and 6th respectively in this final.

All theses young guns evolved, in conditions of perfect fairness, in front of a prestigious jury composed of Serge Saulnier, President of the Executive Board of the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, Luc Alphand, Olivier Panis and two members of the Carlin team, all under the supervision of co-founders Patrick Lemarié and Jacques Villeneuve.
