With the majestic Alps as their backdrop, the Iron Dames took part in a 2025 Winter Training Camp at St. Moritz, marking a key milestone in their preparation for an intense motorsport schedule this season. Over five days of challenging activities, the 16 Iron Dames drivers – representing multiple generations and racing disciplines – came together to strengthen their bonds and push their limits.
Held from 5-10 January, this camp was the third gathering in an ongoing series of intensive training programmes, following the summer camp in Évian in July 2024 and the inaugural winter camp that was also held at St. Moritz in January 2024. Designed to build unity, sharpen focus, and cultivate resilience, this event deepened connections within the team while pushing each of the drivers to the limits of their physical abilities.
A busy schedule of cross-country skiing, indoor climbing, mountain biking, ice skating and ice baths tested the endurance and resilience of each team member, reinforcing the project’s values of solidarity, mutual encouragement and pushing beyond personal limits — core strengths that define the Iron Dames’ approach both on and off the track. The equestrian athletes were also in attendance for the winter camp's initial challenges; having the riders and drivers together fostered inspiring collaborations as they identified the mental fortitude and teamwork fundamental to both sports.
In addition to the rigorous training schedule, there were opportunities for moments of conviviality where team members, along with Project Founder Deborah Mayer, bonded through laughter and reflection. Relaxed meals after demanding training sessions allowed for storytelling and connection, while more informal activities strengthened personal ties, reinforcing the culture of trust and togetherness that underpins the project’s success.
With the 2025 motorsport calendar already underway, the Iron Dames are primed for an electrifying season. Their journey begins at one of endurance racing’s most prestigious events: the 24 Hours of Daytona. The Iron Dames project, with its ever-expanding reach, continues to be a bold statement of what is possible when passion, hard work, and team spirit converge. With a strong foundation laid in St. Moritz, the team is prepared to take on new challenges and continue their mission to break barriers and inspire future generations.
