After a groundbreaking switch to single-seaters in 2024 that included numerous race wins, Iron Dame Doriane Pin is poised to reach new heights in 2025 with ambitious plans across three highly competitive championships around the world. Her 2025 campaign will feature continued support from Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team and from PREMA Racing, building on the partnerships which proved successful in 2024
The Iron Dames’ Vision: A Launchpad for Success
The Iron Dames project, founded and led by Deborah Mayer, has been instrumental in shaping Doriane Pin’s meteoric rise in motorsport. By providing a platform dedicated to empowering female talent, Iron Dames has allowed the young Frenchwoman to spread her wings and pursue her dreams with confidence and determination. Since joining Iron Dames in 2021, Doriane has benefited from an environment that nurtures talent, fosters ambition, and opens doors. Her progression is a testament to how the project’s vision can unlock the potential of talented drivers and prepare them to compete on the global stage.
A Rising Star in Global Motorsport
Doriane has made her name as one of the brightest talents in motorsport. Showing determination and continued growth, she progressed up through the ranks in sportscars, culminating in a hugely successful 2023 with PREMA Racing in LMP2 in the FIA World Endurance Championship. In that campaign she fared well against her team-mates Mirko Bortolotti and former F1 driver Daniil Kvyat and was named ‘Revelation of the Year’ at the FIA WEC end-of-season awards.
That teed up a switch to single-seaters for 2024 which featured race-winning drives in the Formula 4 UAE Championship and in F1 Academy, showcasing her abilities in the latter in front of the Formula 1 paddock and where she aims to be racing one day, finishing as runner-up in her first season. In addition to that, she also raced in the highly competitive Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine in a season where she demonstrated significant growth despite challenging circumstances, earning respect among a fiercely competitive field.
A Multi-Championship Challenge in 2025
For 2025, Doriane’s schedule will feature key appearances across three categories:
• A partial campaign in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship (FRMEC), beginning at Dubai Autodrome in February, followed by a round at Yas Marina Circuit and then at Jeddah Corniche Circuit at the beginning of March.
• Her second season in F1 Academy driving the Mercedes-AMG F1 Academy entry. The 2025 campaign offers exciting new venues in China, Canada, and Las Vegas to its global calendar.
• A return to FRECA, the fiercely competitive Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, where she aims to build on her 2024 experience.
Working with PREMA Racing across all three series, Doriane is positioned to benefit from top-tier equipment and expertise to demonstrate her potential against some of the best drivers in the world.
A Dream in the Making
Doriane has never hidden her ambition, born of a childhood dream, to one day race in Formula 1. Her story is one of talent nurtured by hard work and opportunity. Her relentless drive, combined with the resources of the Iron Dames, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 and PREMA Racing, are key factors on the long road to her dream and an Iron Dame taking her place on the F1 grid one day.
Deborah Mayer, Iron Dames Project Founder: “Doriane embodies the values of the Iron Dames: passion, determination, and an exemplary attitude. We are proud to see her representing the Iron Dames on the international stage at just 20 years old and inspiring the next generation of female drivers. Her 2025 campaign will enable her to consolidate her place among the world's top single-seater talents. With the unwavering support of the Iron Dames family and elite partnerships with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 and PREMA Racing, we are ensuring she has the best possible environment in which to develop and succeed at the highest level.”
Doriane Pin: “I am excited to continue this journey together with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and Iron Dames next year. After becoming vice champion in F1 Academy in my maiden season, I am extremely motivated to go for the driver’s title in 2025. I will be pushing myself hard to improve over the winter and hopefully can enjoy an even stronger season next year.”
Rene Rosin, Prema Racing Team Principal: "We are proud of what Doriane accomplished in 2024 and we are delighted to continue working with her in 2025. Transitioning to a new environment in single-seaters, she was focused and determined as she climbed her learning curve while defying adversities. The results proved she has the potential to be a top competitor, and we cannot wait to see where she will be able to go from here."
Gwen Lagrue, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team Driver Development Advisor: “Doriane has enjoyed a very successful first season in single-seaters. Making the switch from GT and endurance cars is never easy, as both the driving style and skill set required is different. She has handled that change well, achieving success in several championships and competing strongly in F1 Academy. She has scored some notable successes and finishing second overall in her first season in the category is a superb achievement. Considering the progress she has taken this year and the experience she now has, we are confident that Doriane can fight for the F1 Academy title in 2025. We, along with Iron Dames, are looking forward to supporting her as she does so and looking forward to a successful year ahead.”
