After an exciting first half of the German Kart Championship (DKM) season, the racing action returns to Pro Kart Raceland in Wackersdorf from August 25-27. Following rounds three and four in Genk, Belgium, the drivers are now ready to battle it out in the Upper Palatinate. With an impressive 134 participants from around the globe, the competition is set to be fierce.
At the mid-point of the season, the 1,197-meter Pro Kart Raceland circuit proves to be the perfect stage for thrilling battles in the DKM categories. The championship leaders, Marc Gerstenkorn (DJKM), Stan Pex (DSKM), and Niels Troeger (DSKC), are set to continue their strong rivalry. The Junior category sees an intense battle, with the Swiss leader narrowly holding a seven-point lead over his pursuers. Meanwhile, the leaders in the two shifter kart categories are determined to maintain their positions and defend their advantage in the standings.
World Championship casts its shadow ahead
With the FIA World Championship for the KZ including the KZ2 and KZ2 Masters categories just two weeks after, the event in Wackersdorf is attracting top international drivers seeking to fine-tune their skills before the grand championship. Joining the regular participants, guest drivers will add further excitement to the DKM races, ensuring competitive fields in the DSKM and DSKC classes. In total 101 shifter driver will compete the half time race of the DKM.
Mini60 Series by Chrono Karting on the program
Adding to the action, the Mini60 Series by Chrono Karting returns to the spotlight. The success of the single event series has gained immense interest from young drivers, with 22 enthusiastic talents joining the ranks. Among them are some drivers who are contesting their first race in the DKM's supporting programme.
Live timing, live stream and social media accompany the DKM
In the digital age of motorsport, DKM continues to lead the way in providing extensive coverage. The live stream, live timing, and social media presence keep fans up-to-date with the latest developments. All events, starting from the heats on Saturday, will be live-streamed on www.kart-dm.de. Additionally, live timing will be available from Friday noon, providing real-time insights for fans and competitors alike.
Big DKM finale at the end of October in Franciacorta (Italy)
The DKM journey culminates in the grand season finale at Franciacorta in Italy from October 27-29. Germany's premier kart racing series marks its debut at this iconic international circuit, which will also host the OK World Championship. The Road to Wackersdorf has once again underlined that the DKM team is in an excellent position as promoters of international events. Alongside the DJKM, DSKM, and DSKC predicates, single events for the OK class and Mini60 Series by Chrono Karting promise action-packed racing.
