The second session of pre-collective testing for the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine at Zandvoort once again concluded with Tim Tramnitz dominating the field. Today, he was the sole driver to break the 1:43 barrier.
Tramnitz, representing R-ace GP, secured the day’s best time during the afternoon session, with a remarkable lap time of 1:42.939. Following closely, Frenchman Maceo Capietto (RPM) finished just over a tenth of a second behind Tramnitz, maintaining his impressive performance from the previous session.
The third-fastest time was claimed by Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Prema Racing), who outpaced his direct championship rival, Martinius Stenshorne (R-ace GP), who ended the session in fourth position.
Roman Bilinski also deserves recognition, driving a car for Trident Motorsport, as he clinched the fifth position ahead of Rafael Camara (Prema Racing) and Alessandro Giusti (G4 Racing), securing the sixth and seventh spots, respectively. The top 10 concluded with Joshua Duerksen (Arden Motorsport), newcomer Nikita Bedrin (Monolite Racing), and Marcus Amand (ART Grand Prix).
The field will be back in action again tomorrow morning for the first collective test scheduled at 9.25 a.m.
