Prema Racing‘s Dino Beganovic claimed the fastest time of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine collective tests, with a lap time of 1m47.016s in the second day at Monza.
The Swedish driver, returning to the championship for a second season with the Italian squad, was just 0.263s ahead of MP Motorsport’s Michael Belov, who set the best time yesterday morning.
Paul Aron (Prema Racing) was once again among the fastest drivers, and wounded up third quickest, just under three tenths away from the overall best time. Monolite Racing’s Maceo Capietto was fourth and first among rookies, just 0.114s away from Gabriele Minì (ART Grand Prix) and 0.259s clear of Kas Haverkort (Van Amersfoort Racing).
Eduardo Barrichello (Arden Motorsport), pace setter in yesterday last session, was seventh fastest in the combined standings, and 0.038s ahead of ART Grand Prix’s Laurens Van Hoepen, with Trident Motorsport’s Roman Bilinski and his teammate Leonardo Fornaroli completing a top-10 covered by little more than half a second.
The field will be back in action again at Monza for the season opener after Easter weekend (21-24 April).
