The WSK open cup starts the final part of the season: from the 24th to the 27th of October, 250 drivers will race at Lonato in the first of 2 rounds in the KZ2, OK, OKJ and 60 Mini categories. The Season’s Grand Finale; 250 drivers in the first round of the WSK Open Cup.
With the Autumn upon us, as is the end of the season and the conclusion of another WSK Promotion racing year. This week, with more than 250 drivers entered, the WSK Open Cup gets underway with the first of 2 rounds to be raced from the 24th to the 27th of October at South Garda Karting, Lonato (near Brescia, Italy). 2 weekends later the series concludes at the 7 Lakes Circuit of Casteletto di Branduzzo (near Pavia, south of Milan). It is a 2 round series for OK, OK Junior and 60 Mini with points counting from both rounds. KZ2 meanwhile will race at the first event only at Lonato.

The WSK Open Cup will be awarded to the Lonato Final race winner in KZ2. For the other 3 categories, the first round at South Garda Karting will open the point-scoring; as in the other WSK series, points will be awarded starting from Saturday’s qualifying heats. Points will also, of course, be awarded in Sunday’s Prefinals and Finals with the second round of the series at Castelletto di Branduzzo seeing an escalating point-scoring system in place and a double prefinal programme for the OK-Junior and 60 Mini categories.

The WSK Open Cup will once again be broadcast Live on Sunday of each event, from both Lonato and Castelletto, starting with the first round at South Garda on Sunday, October 27th starting with the prefinals and concluding with the chequered flag of the last final, starting at 11:00 am (CET).
