Two-day test on kart for the FDA drivers who, within the cooperation with the Tony Kart Racing Team, carried out intense race sessions on the track together with our official drivers. As already happened a few times in the past, Thursday 17th and Friday 18th October, the drivers of Ferrari Driver Academy, the programme of Casa di Maranello to grow the young talented drivers, exploited the partnership with the Tony Kart Racing Team to race two intense days of test on the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato. Together with them, under our official tent, of course, all our drivers and the whole racing team technical staff.
For the FDA, the drivers getting on track in Lonato at 9 am were: Mick Schumacher, Marcus Armstrong, Robert Shwartzmanand and Giuliano Alesi. For some of them, it has been a return to a familiar place, considering the karting experiences they lived right inside our team.
At first, mechanics and drivers tested the seats and adjusted the driving positions, then they all got on track at the wheel of the Tony Kart Racer 401 R with Vortex DST engine. In OK configuration, then.
All the drivers run more or less the same driving sessions throughout the whole day on the South Garda track. There were no special tests or challenges, but only lots of laps at the wheel to train and improve the driving.
At the end of the day, besides the strain for the intense training, all drivers were very satisfied and eager to get back to karting soon. The Tony Kart Racing Team is ready to welcome them under its tent whenever they wish to.
