F1 Academy™ champion to receive fully funded GB3 seat for 2025

F1 Academy™ has today announced that the 2024 F1 Academy Champion will receive a fully funded seat in GB3 with Rodin Motorsport for the 2025 season.

In addition to the full-time race seat, the Champion will receive 20 days of testing in the GB3 car to support her campaign, also funded by F1 Academy. As part of the newly created Pirelli Prize, Pirelli will provide a financial contribution towards the seat.

The GB3 Championship, founded in 2013, is a single-seater category aimed at racing drivers transitioning from Formula 4 championships. The 2025 season will see the introduction of the new Tatuus MSV GB3-025, featuring a revised chassis, a new 280bhp engine and DRS. The 2025 calendar is also set to put a renewed focus on Grade One venues, with six out of eight rounds taking place at circuits featured on the F1 calendar.

Each year the F1 Academy driver development team will work closely with the F1 Academy teams and drivers in contention for the title to analyse the best next step for the Champion and support their progression.

Susie Wolff, Managing Director of F1 Academy said: “At F1 Academy we are striving to create opportunities for women to succeed at all levels of our sport, and a testament to that mission is our commitment to putting together the best possible package for our Champions to move onwards and upwards. Together with our driver development team, we’re proud to support our 2024 Champion with a fully funded seat in GB3 with Rodin Motorsport in 2025. This will provide her with a fantastic opportunity to continue her development and aid her future progression.”

Jonathan Palmer, MSV Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted that GB3 has been chosen as the next step for the 2024 F1 Academy champion. Over the past decade there has quite rightly been a big shift in motorsport to recognise and encourage the participation of women. F1 Academy has been instrumental in that process and Susie’s determination to provide women with unprecedented opportunities to develop and shine is tremendously exciting. As part of our own commitment to increasing these opportunities, MSV has increased its prize package for the most successful female racer in the 2025 GB4 Championship to €50,000, which she can put towards a 2026 season in F1 Academy.”
