Energy Corse’s 2022 season has begun with victories and podiums

Year after year, Energy Corse continues to demonstrate that it remains one of the best teams internationally, and above all the one that trains young drivers in the best conditions, whatever their nationality. In OK, OKJunior and Mini, the excellent results follow each other... Tomass Stolcermanis has just made an incredible debut in OK by winning the title at the Champions of the Future Winter Series in his first race in the category. In OK-Junior, Andres Cardenas took the second step of the podium, having already won the WSK Champions Cup in January. And in the 60 Mini, the Energy Corse chassis also created a sensation...

What a start to the season for Energy Corse! The technical staff, the engine manufacturer GFR, the TM Racing factory and the various partners have once again enabled the drivers to shine at the highest international level.

Thanks to meticulous winter preparation and to its new chassis recently homologated by CIK-FIA, the team managed by Mick Panigada celebrated its first official competition of the year with the victory of Andres Cardenas on the South Garda Karting of Lonato during the WSK Champions Cup. The young Peruvian started 4th in the Final and brilliantly outclassed all his opponents. Cardenas was also very fast in the first two races of the WSK Super Master Series (P4 and P6), before reaching the podium again, this time at one of the circuits that will host a European Championship race, Franciacorta in Italy. Once again Cardenas was impressive in moving up from 9th to 2nd place in the Champions of the Future Winter Series.

Stolcermanis dominates OK in Franciacorta
Tomass Stolcermanis, the revelation of the season in OK-Junior in 2021, continues to grow in reputation. The recent winner of the World Grand Final in Bahrain chose to make his OK debut at the Winter Series. His first attempt turned into a masterstroke: pole position in Timed Qualifying, three victories out of three in the heats, a solo run in the Super Heat and a triumph in the Final with both the fastest lap and the absolute lap record of the event. With his Energy Corse package powered by GFR TMs, Latvia’s Stolcermanis won it all! Energy Corse would also like to congratulate the drivers who represented it brilliantly in 60 Mini in the WSK Promotion events: the Russian Danil Nepliuev, the Angolan Lorenzo Campos and the Lithuanian Ainis Vibriantis. The latter took pole position in Lonato during the second round of the WSK Super Master Series, even though he is only nine years old! He then fought for the front and even for the top five in the Final, before losing a few places at the end of the race in a busy field. “I am very happy with the start of the season of our Energy Corse team, the TM Racing engines and the work of our engine manufacturer GFR,” commented Mick Panigada, head of the Italian team. “Congratulations to Tomass Stolcermanis in OK and to Andres Cardenas in OK-Junior for their winning start to the season, it’s very promising. I am also delighted to welcome the Hungarian driver Martin Molnar and Finn Alexander Dahlstrom to the Junior squad. Together, we will not lack ambition in 2022…”
