Frankfurt on the Main. Only a couple of hours after the start of the online registration for the 2019 DKM season, the field of participants of the DMSB Shifterkart Cup (DSKC) was booked up. The organizers of the DMSB have now reacted and expanded the field from 34 to 51 participants. There is also great reception regarding the other grade series.
As an addition to the German Shifterkart Championship, the DMSB Shifterkart Cup celebrated its premiere in 2016 and received a lot of interest right from the start. This year, the interest considerably exceeds the 34 available starting positions. After only 12 hours a waiting list had to be set up.
The people responsible for the DKM have now reacted to the popular demand. The field of participants of the DSKC is going to be expanded to 51 drivers. To guarantee enough driving- and racing-time for the participants, the field is going to be split into two pre-final-groups after the heats. The 17 best respective drivers of both races are then going to compete against each other in the final race.
Next to the DSKC, the other grade series are also in great demand. Currently, 166 registrations make for a record field in the highest German kart racing series. Whoever wants to be a part of it too can register via www.kart-dm.de for the 2019 season.
