DKM starts on new track in 2025

Munich. The German Kart Championship will start with a premiere in 2025. For the first time, the championship will be held in Mariembourg, Belgium. The race calendar comprises a total of five race weekends and will be held at the biggest circuits in Germany. In addition to the four DKM championships, the IAME Series Germany will once again be part of the supporting programme. The ‘Road to DTM’ support programme will be continued and offers the chance of promotion to the ADAC GT4 Germany via the DKM.

New race track makes DKM debut

The Karting des Fagnes race track in Mariembourg (Belgium) is making its debut on the calendar of the German Kart Championship. The 1,366 metre long circuit is located in the western part of the Ardennes and has been part of the international racing calendar for many years. The DKM kicks off the new season there at Easter from 19 to 20 April. One week beforehand, all participants will have the chance to familiarise themselves with the new circuit during an exclusive test.

This will be followed by a programme of events around Germany's best-known kart tracks. At the end of May, the action continues at Arena E in Mülsen from 31 May to 1 June. This time, the halfway point of the season will take place at the Schweppermannring in Ampfing. On 26 and 27 July, the drivers will battle for championship points at the southernmost stop. Three weeks later, the DKM entourage will travel to the traditional circuit in Kerpen from 16 to 17 August. The season finale will take place at Pro Kart Raceland Wackersdorf at the end of September (20 to 21 September).

The DKM will start the 2025 season with a tried and tested race format. After qualifying and heats, the race Sunday will consist of the Super Heats and the final. The class structure also remains unchanged. The German Mini Kart Championship (DMKM), the German Junior Kart Championship (DJKM), the DMSB Shifter Kart Cup (DSKC) and the German Kart Championship (DKM) will be the official DKM categories. The programme is rounded off by the IAME Series Germany.

‘Road to DTM’ support programme to be continued

The ‘Road to DTM’ programme gives the best driver born between 2004 and 2008 in the DKM class the chance to make the leap into GT racing. This year, the trophy went to DKM champion Markus Kajak. The successful sponsorship concept will be continued in 2025. The ‘Road to DTM’ winner will then also receive a grid position in the following season of the ADAC GT4 Germany free of entry fees.
