With the start of the German Kart Championship next weekend in the Arena E Mülsen, the highest German kart racing series will be presenting a pole position award in all classes for the first time. This is provided by the glove manufacturer 32Five.
The German Kart Championship is in the starting blocks. On six race weekends, drivers in the DKM, DJKM, DMKM, DSKC, X30 Junior and X30 Senior classes will battle for victories and championship points. More than 180 participants have registered ahead of the season opener in Mülsen, Saxony. But this year there are not only trophies for the top five after the final race - the new glove brand 32Five is presenting a pole position award for all classes for the first time. Each pole setter will receive a golden trophy in the shape of a glove and a pair of 32Five gloves in their size.
This makes the qualifying winners from Mülsen one of the first drivers in the world to receive a 32Five glove - the official sales launch is on 1 May. The two creative minds behind 32Five are Patrick Kreutz and Paul Seliger. Kreutz has been involved in national and international karting for over 20 years and gained his first experience as a driver. He has had his own teamwear brand for several years now. His partner Paul Seliger is known for innovative helmet designs and equips drivers in a wide range of motorsport categories. The idea for 32Five was born during a chance phone call in mid-2023.
Six different versions are available. However, these differ only in terms of layout; all gloves are produced to the latest standard and already fulfil the homologation regulations that will apply from 2025. During the development phase, active kart racing drivers channelled their experience into the design, choice of materials and cut of the gloves. True to the motto: "From Racers For Racers"
After a winter break of almost six months, the new DKM season starts in Mülsen. The championship is being organised for the first time this year under the auspices of the ADAC e.V. and comprises a total of six race weekends on the kart racing circuits in Mülsen, Ampfing, Kerpen and Wackersdorf. The DKM (KZ2) and DJKM (OK-J) are two international classes. The DMKM (Mini), DSKC (KZ2), X30 Junior and X30 Senior will take place as national competitions.

Guest drivers from the season opener in Mülsen can still decide after the weekend and register for the championship. Possible championship points will be credited to them.
