From August 7-9th, the German Kart Championship is planning to start the 2020 season. But before the engines of the highest German karting championship buzz again on the Erftlandring, it was necessary to adjust to the current Corona situation. In recent weeks, an extensive hygiene concept has been developed. The races will be subject to final approval by the local authorities.
The German Kart Championship and the DMSB are ready for the delayed start of the 2020 season. Due to the Corona pandemic and the associated security measures, the concept of the DKM with its five predicates had to be adapted. The season opener in Kerpen is to take place in compliance with the highest hygiene measures in the sense of infection protection.
Here, the organizers, in cooperation with the leaders of the series and the organizers, have developed a concept for the implementation of a kart race. The ultimate goal is the protection of all participants in the event. In addition to changes in the registration procedures, scrutineering and communication with the officials, a continuous registration of all people present at the event grounds takes place. The organisation, drivers and teams are encouraged to keep the number of people as low as possible.
There are also excellent routes to get in and out of Parc Ferme and on the track. In all areas, it is necessary to observe the necessary minimum distance, as well as a basic mask obligation, applies on the entire site.
All further information on the implementation of the season opener will be announced shortly after the local approval. If you haven't yet signed up for the DKM or DEKM 2020, you can do it quickly online at www.kart-dm.de.
