Birel ART ends the 2023 season with good prospects

The second round of the WSK Final Cup, the last sporting event of the international season, has just finished on the Franciacorta circuit. Despite the harshness of the competition, Birel ART recorded a number of positive points when it came to preparing for next season. Its performances in KZ2 are as convincing as ever, and only the ups and downs of racing have disrupted its path to victory. Even though he didn't make it to the finish of the Final, Cristian Bertuca finished on the series podium. Ean Eyckmans (Leclerc by Lennox Racing) confirmed the strong potential of the Lissone brand in OK, while David Moscari confirmed his level in Mini U10.

"The course of the Franciacorta Finals was not kind to us," analysed Riccardo Longhi, the team manager of Birel ART Racing. "Controversial clashes in the KZ2 Final prevented Cristian Bertuca and Daniel Vasile from getting the results they deserved. Nevertheless, the speed was there and Bertuca won his Prefinal to start 3rd on the grid in the Final, which fortunately enabled him to finish 3rd in the Championship. In OK, Matheus Morgatto and Emanuele Olivieri had a good rhythm, with ups and downs in their results. As in the previous week, Leclerc by Lennox Racing's Ean Eyckmans was able to extract the full potential from his Birel ART chassis. Fast in the heats, he set the 2nd fastest time in both the Prefinal and the Final and made up eight places to finish 4th. Still in the learning phase, our OK-Junior drivers encountered too many setbacks to hope to shine in the Final. Young David Moscardi continued to achieve good results in the Mini U10 class. He was well inside the top five in the heats and finished 9th in the Final."

The Birel ART team will now concentrate on the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in Bahrain, where the brand is supplying chassis for the 125 Mini Max and 125 Max DD2 categories, as well as the 125 Max DD2 Masters in the Charles Leclerc colours.
