With the last race weekend of the year having just ended with a winning double in KZ2 at Cremona, it's time to look back on a simply fantastic season for the French brand, which is also the world's leading manufacturer of karts.
The agreement with CPB Sport, which is celebrating its 12th year in racing, has been perfect. Paul Bizalion's team has accompanied a large number of drivers on their way to success under the Sodikart colours. Thanks to the breathtaking quality of the chassis developed and manufactured in the ultra-modern production unit in the Nantes region, the drivers benefited from top-level equipment whatever the conditions. Its great versatility was also demonstrated with different types of tyres. The TM Kart engines prepared by Sani and Gallifa accompanied this tremendous success by propelling Sodikart to the top of the FIA KZ team rankings, while CPB Sport took 2nd place among KZ2 teams.
An extraordinary 2024 prize list
This year, Sodi won the FIA Karting European Championship - KZ2 with Mattéo Spirgel and became runner-up in the FIA Karting European Championship - KZ with Senna van Walstijn. Then came the triumph that crowned the French team in the FIA Karting World Championship - KZ with a resounding one-two finish. Congratulations to the new World Champion Giuseppe Palomba and runner-up Senna van Walstijn!
Combined with the competitiveness of the Sodi chassis, the professionalism of the CPB Sport team has enabled us to recruit some very good drivers to achieve these results. This was again evident at the end of the season, with Maksim Orlov and Kasper Schormans winning the WSK Final Cup in Cremona and Orlov, a newcomer to the team, taking the title, while a third driver, Dion van Werven, finished 6th with the fastest lap in the race. The final top 10 also included five Sodi drivers. The Sodi / CPB Sport team has proven itself at the highest level, training the youngest drivers and guiding the most experienced to the top.
After a well-deserved rest, the whole team will be back at work to continue improving its performance in the face of stiff competition. See you at La Conca in January 2025 for the start of the WSK Super Master Series.
