After the qualifying heats held over two days at the International Circuit Napoli, the main contenders for the second round of the WSK Super Master Series have been determined. These drivers will now compete on the 1.670-meter-long Sarno circuit in the final phase on Sunday, February 9th.

Drivers from 45 different nations are at the start, with 277 of the 292 entries verified across the MINI, OKNJ, OKJ, OK, and KZ2 categories, representing a further increase in participation compared to the already impressive opening round at the International Circuit La Conca. Present in Sarno are all major manufacturers and top teams, with numerous international karting stars partaking in what proved to be a highly competitive event.

OKNJ – Orlando takes the lead
In the OK-N Junior category, there were three different winners across the heats, but it was the Italian driver Michele Orlando, racing for DR with a DR-Modena Engines-Vega, who emerged on top of the standings. Orlando secured victory in the second heat and, with two additional strong finishes, climbed to the top of the leaderboard. The Canadian driver Rocco Simone (Kidix/KR-Modena Engines) won the first heat, and the Polish driver Leonardo Gorski (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame) won the third heat. The Ukrainian driver Vsevolod Osadchyi-Suslovskyi (Monster K Factory/Monster K-TM Kart), who had secured pole position, and fellow Ukrainian driver Oleksandr Legenkyi (Team Driver/KR-Iame) also performed well. The championship leader, the American driver Lucas Palacio (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame), finished fifth.

MINI Gr.3 – Perico continues to dominate
Niccolò Perico, driving for Team Driver on a KR-Iame-Vega, continued his strong performance from La Conca with two victories and a third-place finish in Sarno. Other notable drivers included the Portuguese racer Xavier Lazaro (DR/DR-TM Kart) with two victories, the French driver Stan Ratajski (BabyRace/Parolin-Iame) with one victory, and Italian driver David Moscardi (Novalux/Lenzokart-LKE) with one victory. The pole sitter Achille Rea (CRG Racing Team/T-Group-TM Kart) had a less successful weekend, finishing ninth in one of his heats.

MINI U10 – Bergman remains on top
Josh Bergman, driving for Kidix on a KR-Iame-Vega, has solidified his position at the top of the MINI U10 category with two victories in the three heats. The Swedish driver Arvid Svensson (Ward Racing/Tony Kart-TM Kart) made a strong recovery from ninth in qualifying to secure second place overall. Robin Raikkonen, the son of Formula 1 champion Kimi Raikkonen, finished third overall despite a disappointing result in the final heat. The Moroccan driver Nahyl El Gahoudi (BabyRace/Parolin-Iame) won the third heat. The Italian driver Ryan Di Munno (Monster K/Iame) also performed well.

OKJ – Crisan takes the lead
The Canadian driver Ilie Crisan Tristan (#304 Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) has taken the lead in the OKJ category after two strong victories. Despite starting from pole position, the Dutch driver Dean Hoogendoorn (Prema Racing/KR-Iame) won one of the heats. Other heat winners include the Polish driver Remigiusz Samczyk (Fusion Motorsport/KR-Iame), the American driver Turner Brown (Ricky Flynn/LN Kart-TM Kart), and the Turkish driver Iskender Zulfikari (Forza Racing/Exprit-TM Kart). Championship leader Michael McGaughy (Koski Motorsport/KR-Iame) had a difficult weekend instead.

OK – Costoya faces stiff competition
The OK category is proving to be highly competitive, with many drivers aiming for the final victory. The Spaniard Christian Costoya (#231 Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Kart-LeCont) is currently leading the pack thanks to two heat wins. Close behind is the Belgian driver Dries Van Langendonck (Prema Racing/KR-Iame) with one victory, a fourth place, and a second place. The Italian driver Iacopo Martinese (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame) has also been strong, securing one victory and two other podium finishes. The Czech driver Jindrich Pesl (Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex) has consistently placed well. Scottish driver Zac Drummond (Fusion Motorsport/KR-Iame), who secured pole position in qualifying, has also been competitive.

KZ2 – Orlov leads the way
The KZ2 category is providing thrilling racing, with multiple drivers challenging for the top spot. The Pole sitter Max Orlov (#101 CPB Sport/Sodikart-TM Kart-Vega) is currently leading the standings after winning one of the heats. Other heat winners include the Italian driver Cristian Bertuca (BirelART Racing/BirelART-TM Kart), the Dutch Marijn Kremers (Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex), Romanian Daniel Vasile (CL Racing Team/BirelART-TM Kart) and Estonian Markus Kajak (Formula K SRP/IPK-TM Kart). Other notable drivers include the Czech Marek Skrivan (IPK Factory/IPK-TM Kart), the French driver Jean Nomblot (CPB Sport/Sodikart-TM Kart), and his teammate, the Dutch Senna Van Walstijn. In a heat affected by light rain, the Finnish driver Martti Ritonen and the Romanian Zoe Florescu Potolea, both driving for BirelART Racing, stood out by using wet tires. The winner of the previous round, the Dutch driver Stan Pex (SP Motorsport/KR-TM Kart), has struggled so far instead.
