Munich. As the future organizer of the Deutsche Kart Meisterschaft (DKM), the ADAC e.V. has presented the calendar for the 2024 season. Next year, the DKM calendar will grow to six events, which will be held from the season opener in April to the finale at the end of September.
With the exception of the opening round in April, all the venues have been confirmed. The racing will take place at well-known tracks in Germany. As well as Ampfing, Kerpen, and Mülsen, the DKM will also visit Wackersdorf twice. Prokart Raceland hosts the third weekend of six, as well as the season finale from 21st to 22nd of September.
Six classes in the German Kart Championship
The grades within the German Kart Championship will be restructured in the future. The KZ2 gearbox category will compete as the international German Kart Championship (DKM) and forms the highest class. As well as the DKM, the German Junior Kart Championship (DJKM) also retains its international status in the OK Junior class.
The Mini class will be a national competition, with the title German Mini Kart Championship (DMKM) giving it a higher profile in the future. Rounding off the national class structure is the DMSB Shifter Kart Cup (DSKC) in the KZ2 class and the IAME Series Germany, with the X30 Junior and X30 Senior categories.
