May 11, 2020 – The championship contenders in the first ever A-Maxx Racing WKA eSports Series Presented by Summit Racing Equipment will come to the forefront as the series heads north to the virtual Road America for the third of five events. Taking place from the small hamlet of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin tonight at 8:00pm, competitors will once again be back behind the wheel of their Skip Barber Formula 1600 race cars as they fight for podium prizes, championship points and some bragging rights as the A-Maxx Racing WKA eSports Series reaches the halfway mark.
Nick Snell will lead more than fifty drivers into Road America as he finds himself atop the championship point standings by a single marker over Byron Daley. With the top three separated by only two points, Jacob Drew is two markers in arears of Snell as the trio have proven to be the three to beat so far. Michael Mersberger finds himself in fourth only nine points back but two ahead of Connor Zilisch in fifth.
“Our first event went well but we had some slight hiccups that we overcame and fixed for the second event,” explained WKA President Kevin Williams. “With the demand increasing, we changed the format to allow for more drivers and increased competition. We have a few open slots remining for rounds three, four and five, so we invite you to come and join the fun.”
The A-Maxx Racing WKA eSports Series Presented by Summit Racing Equipment will conclude on May 25th as the series aims to get back on track shortly after that for the WKA Manufacturers Cup, the WKA Vega Road Racing Series and the WKA Maxxis Speedway Dirt Series.
