Sodikart solidly in the WSK lead after another double podium finish

At Franciacorta, on the Italian circuit that will host the FIA Karting World Championship in October, the fourth and penultimate round of the WSK Super Master Series featured an incredible field of 90 drivers in a single category, bringing together the best KZ and KZ2 specialists, as well as all the major international teams. In this context, Sodikart chassis once again achieved an exceptional overall result: Senna Van Walstijn and Maksim Orlov were on the podium and are now in the top two places in the Championship. Four other drivers in the Sodikart and CPB Sport colours made it into the top 12 in the Final!

With Senna Van Walstijn already on 322 points, the Sodikart driver has a lead of almost 100 points over a chasing pack led by Maksim Orlov. The French team will be in a strong position going into the last round at Viterbo, while remaining focused on the objective of the title and seeking a level of competitiveness similar to that seen since the start of the WSK Super Master Series. At Franciacorta, in fact, the Sodi-TM Kart packages displayed a very high level of performance from Free Practice to the Final.

Orlov won three heats, Van Walstijn two and they then finished in the top two places in their Prefinal. They were quick to follow this up with a double podium finish, with Senna in 2nd place ahead of Max. In the chasing pack, several other drivers equipped with Sodi chassis drove at a high pace. Kasper Schormans finished 5th, a few weeks after his 4th place in Sarno. Mattéo Spirgel set the fastest lap of the race on his way up to 6th place. Timo Jungling made up seven places to complete the top 10, just ahead of Jean Nomblot, who set the third fastest time in the Final. It should be pointed out that the young Schormans and Jungling are only competing in their second season in KZ2.

With the addition of Jayden Thien, Dion Van Werven, Erik Holm and Maximilian Schleimer, a total of 10 Sodikart-CPB Sport drivers reached the Final, making the French brand the best represented at this level on Sunday afternoon in KZ2.

Comments from team manager Paul Bizalion

"As was the case for the three previous WSK Super Master Series events at La Conca, Sarno and Lonato, the Franciacorta race once again gave us plenty of reasons to be satisfied, on a circuit with different characteristics and in different conditions to the previous meetings. It's likely to be the toughest competition of the season, with all the 125cc gearbox protagonists in attendance. The equipment supplied by the Sodikart factory has enormous potential and our drivers made good use of it to rack up some brilliant results. We placed two of them on the podium and four in the top six, which proves that we have been working in the right direction.”
