Everything is set at the South Garda Karting in Lonato for the grand finale of the third round of the WSK Super Master Series after the conclusion of the 44 qualifying heats. A necessary selection process has been needed to define the finalists of this exciting third event of the season, which presented itself with an extraordinary number of drivers, a good 401 from 55 nations and from all 5 continents, with all the manufacturers, the major teams and competitors among the most competitive worldwide.

Now the attention is all focused on the finalists who are ready for the final challenge on Sunday, February 23rd, which will see the start with the Prefinals from 9:45 and following from 13:30 with the grand finale of all categories.

OKNJ - Palacio, but not only.

The duel for victory in Lonato in the OK-N Junior certainly concerns the American championship leader Lucas Palacio (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame-Vega), winner of the first round in La Conca. In this round, he secured two wins and a second place in the last heat in the wake of the Swiss Albert Tamm (Modena Kart/Parolin-TM Kart). However, the other protagonist of the category, Tamm's teammate, the poleman Gioele Girardello claimed two wins but an unfortunate retirement in the first heat cost him quite a bit in the qualifying ranking. Another Modena Kart driver, the Lithuanian Nojus Stasionis, also achieved a heat victory. The Italian Michele Orlando (DR/DR-Modena Engines), winner of the round in La Conca, is also in the running.

Heats OKNJ: P1 Lucas Palacio (USA) (#711 KR Motorsport/KR-Iame-Vega).

MINI U10 - Bergman prepares for a hat-trick.

Josh Bergman (Kidix/KR-Iame-Vega) is preparing for his personal hat-trick of victories in the MINI Under 10 after the double success in the two previous rounds in La Conca and Sarno. The American driver in Lonato has won two of the three heats, in the third he ended second and in the provisional lead. Behind him, the winners of the other heats, namely the Ukrainian Platon Kovtunenko (Borsch Racing/Energy-Iame), the Italian Daniel Pasquali (CRG Racing Team/T-Group-TM Kart), the Caribbean Wynn Godschalk (Kidix/KR-Iame) and the Romanian Adam Predescu (Novalux/Lenzokart-LKE). Also competing here are the two sons of art, Robin son of Kimi Raikkonen competing with the Kidix team, and Johan son of Gerhard Berger making his debut with the BabyRace team.

KZ2 - Bertuca unstoppable.

A good duel at the top of the KZ2 is expected, but Cristian Bertuca (BirelART Racing/BirelART-TM Kart-Vega) is really unleashed. The Italian driver, after a good but not excellent qualifying, immediately imposed himself in the heats achieving three successes out of three heats, fighting on every meter of the race until annihilating his opponents and earning a nice hat-trick of victories. Other protagonists are the Dutchman Senna Van Walstijn (CPB Sport/Sodikart-TM Kart), the Estonian Markus Kajak (Formula K SRP/IPK-TM Kart), the Spaniard Pedro Hiltbrand with BirelART and the Romanian Daniel Vasile with CL Racing by BirelART.

OK - Martinese takes it all.

In the OK category, Iacopo Martinese with the KR Motorsport team on KR-Iame-LeCont had already started quite well in qualifying with the second fastest time overall, but the Italian driver proved to be unbeatable in the heats, the only one to achieve a clean sweep with three wins in his three heats. Two heats went to the Spaniard Christian Costoya (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Kart), who had taken pole position in qualifying. Another success went to the Scottish Zac Drummond (Fusion Motorsport/KR-Iame), winner of the first round in La Conca. Among the best is also the Italian Sebastiano Pavan (Ward Racing/Tony Kart-TM Kart) and the other Italian Filippo Sala (Forza Racing/Exprit-TM Kart) winner of the last round in Sarno. A bit behind the championship leader, the Belgian Dries Van Langendonck (Prema Racing/KR-Iame), suffered a retirement in a heat.

OKJ - Crisan among many contenders.

There is a lot of uncertainty in the OKJ, with many protagonists ready to fight for the victory. Among the main favorites is the Canadian Ilie Crisan Tristan (Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) with two heat wins, together with the Turkish driver Iskender Zulfikari (Forza Racing/Exprit-TM Kart) with one victory and the Frenchman Luka Scelles (VictoryLane/KR-Iame), winner of the first and last heat contested with slightly wet asphalt. The Italian Ludovico Mazzola (#358 BirelART Racing/BirelART-TM Kart) also did well so far. The winners of the two previous rounds, the Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn (Prema Racing/KR-Iame) who was successful in Sarno and here winner of a heat, and the American Michael McGaughy (Koski Motorsport/KR-Iame) who was successful in La Conca are lagging a bit behind. A heat win also went to the American Turner Brown (Ricky Flynn/LN Kart/TM Kart), one the Australian William Calleja (Forza Racing/Exprit-TM Kart) and to the British Will Green (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame).

Heats OKJ: P1 Ilie Crisan Tristan (CAN) (#304 Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex).

MINI GR.3 - Hedfors leads the group.

After the 10 heats for the MINI Gr.3, the Swedish Elton Hedfors (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Kart-Vega) came out with the best score, winner of a heat and good placements. Behind him were in the order the Scottish Mason Robertson (BabyRace/Parolin-Iame) and his teammate the American Liam Nachawati, author of the pole position in qualifying and two heat wins. The classification leader from Portugal Xavier Lazaro (DR/DR-TM Kart), winner of the last round in Sarno, and successful in 3 heats that lift him from a missed result is in great recovery. Among the best was also the Italian Antonio Ianni with Ward Racing on Tony Kart-TM Kart. The winner of the first round in La Conca, the Italian Niccolò Perico (Team Driver/KR-Iame), is lagging a bit behind due to a missed result in a heat.
